  15. Recitation of the Quoran or the Bible with an empty stomach will hardly yield any lasting result or effect. Sincerely let's stop pretending that the quote "seek ye first the kingdom of God and all other things will be added unto you" works in every situation. To me that money should be put to a use that will yield instant benefits for the masses. Don't get me wrong, I am not at all trying to simplify God's importance in our lives but sometimes, some instant measures for solutions to the numerous problems plaguing the masses is appreciated more.

  35. The tragedy of mismanagement by these governors is that they know they can always run to the federal government for bailouts.A more sensible governor would have allowed these sort of competition to be private sector driven or at least the various Independent bodies that promote religion in that state. But I am not surprised, it is obvious that the governor lacks vision and has nothing to offer. As I always say , it is left for the people to wisen up and know they are being taken for a ride.DA

  39. Mr Abubakar at the Governor's Forum agreed with other governors that they could not afford the minimum wage of N18,000 to their workers.

The country is at its wits end due to reduced income as a result of monumental corrupt wastage and declining oil prices.

Mr Abubakar with the wit of a nut and certified economic illiterate chose of all the years, this year to waste the state's widows mite on a competition which does nothing to the price of yams in the market for his people.

Now if some rich private individual was sponsoring this event all well and dandy. For a government, a broke government, a non accountable government, and an Ill-led government to embark on this unproductive project is mind blowing. A fool and his money soon depart so is Mr Abubakar although with other people's money.

How can putting money into a competition make someone a Boko Haram sponsor???
For God's sake, this means same to him as a bible quiz will mean to a christian. It's just sad that he chose the wrong time of the year for such expenses...

  53. I'm sitting here reading some people's comments and laughing... Some people just saying what they feel like... There's 85% chance the man wouldn't see all this sef... Even if he does... Wetin Una dey talk no concern am cuz all na bullshit.... Just 55m.. . I'm disappointed.... It's post to be like 200m.... Some people saying they would turn to terrorist... Some saying end time is here... The truth is end time is truly here.. And it's things like this that can save us... The thing is people would believe what ever they want to cuz it is what it is... If one keeps saying those terrorist aren't Muslim... In some way, it doesn't change anything.. There's a reason for racism and it can never stop.. This religion thing is something that everybody can't understand... There's a reason why there's hell and paradise.. And I'm sure hell was not made for it to be empty.. Islam is a religion of peace that doesn't need anyone to fight or take one course for it... The Lord knows best.. No matter how much we say terrorist aren't Muslims.. The Christians that don't want to believe wouldn't.. Thats how it is.. no matter how much billions u give to the poor all over the world.. There wld still be poor and hungry people somewhere... Trillions have been missing in Nigeria for one reason or the other.. I guess we missed that.. Now one better person wants to fund something that would better people's life wahala Don come... I guess it would have been better for him to fund it in one quiz that doesn't deal with religion.. Then y'all would approve it right??. .. U need to remove ur heads from yo asses to face the right thing that would better ur own life... They be screaming they want change when they re sitting in their room doing nothing.. What re u benefiting people around you or even ur self... Sick people looking for Nigeria to turn to dubai in 3 months.. Mtcheeew.. Smh!!!

  55. Rather give the money for the reading of the qua ran , why not give them scholarship to study so it would be more memorable than what he intends it for or better still open up a technical college to train those who do not have the academic capacity to study. or spend it on the money , provideing remote housing , water and solar energy projects the list is endless i guess his advisers do not have a clue
