Popular stylist and business woman, Toyin Lawani who revealed that she had Fibriod while she was pregnant with her two children, shared the graphic photos from the operation she had to remove the fibroid. She shared the photo and wrote
"I begged @celebdrto take pictures for me during my process and I got it Recorded for my Reality show#Lifeofanenterpreneur, didnt wnt to post earlier cse i hate pity, also didn't wnt 2gross out people, but had to post cse i realize frm d mails,i got frm my fellow ladies, that we have too many ignorant people out there and what they don't know is,*This shit kills* imagine when my non stop big chunks of lumpy bleeding started,if i was far away from a clinic?

one of d Questions asked through my email, can u hv babies after the procedure, well yes u can,As u can see my womb was stitched bck and with healing,i can carry a baby to term..Alot of people dnt get pregnant due to it, .You can Even seal up ur womb after u take in,to aviod miscarriage due to your fibriods, worst is to hv them and get pregnant, you will have something called Red degeneration from abt 4months,up it stops abt 7 to 8months,i cldnt work nor walk during this process,my son is lucky to be here, you have to be one strong woman like me,for your baby to survive it,The pain is so unbearable and thrs little d docs cn give u cse whatever they give u,can harm baby,And thrs this laparoscopic morcellator technique now that spreads cancer cell on ur uterus,it's a better way of Doing it and not getting cut/scar, but it's dangerous,Some people even believe in taking herbs, well it might melt it for a while bt it will come back,i hv seen people bleed to death due to concussions they gv them to drink to shrink it,The sideffect of d medical drugs dt even shrinks it,makes u hate sex, cause fibriods makes sex more painful and imagine if you have a partner that can't keep it in his pants or a partner who want babies so bad &ur tubes gets blocked by ds,while u are calming to be in pain,he will just be spreading Babies Everywhr, during the surgery some women lose their wombs due to non stop bleeding.Alot of people say but Atm ur tummy is flat, how come you have 3fibriods..well other days my stomach swells up and I pee every sec.please contact @celebdr for free Questions and safe surgery .Nothing to be scared about,God will guide you.pls feel free to mail me for any Questions at info@tiannahstyling.com".

  31. What you didn't mention is that removing it even through surgery doesn't mean it wouldn't come back. I had mine removed years ago, it's back and it's bigger, it's so big and I'm so unhappy about it. How come no research is been done in Africa, this affects mostly women of African and Asian orgins.

    1. With faith, it will never come back

    2. It didnot come back. It doesn't happen that way. What happened was a totally new fibroid grew. A different one from the first one. You should see an obgyn. There are many options available

      Delete
    3. OmG my sis had hers removed months ago, the sight of it makes me wanna pukr, my prayer is DAT it dosnt come back again,I hope she conceive asap.so that it won't grow bacK

    4. You're still alive today. Praise God. Have the procedure done again if need be. Yours might be aggressive.

    5. Your right with regards to the surgical process and it comes back...research has shown that some doctors do say it dat it grows back after sometimes and even bigger..I think it differs with peoples body type and hormones produced, a lady with a very large fibroid had surgery 5yrs ago and till date it never came back..another woman after her 5th child she came up with fibroid which makes her almost bleed to death ..a surgery was eventually carried out to remove her womb completely...so some of these medical situations calls for endless questions

      Delete
    6. Hmmm.quick recovery. She is saying all this because she already have kids.most women that went through this surgery are still trying to conceive.

      Delete
    7. You're right,it can come back after surgery. My mom had it. She went for surgery after which we thought it was the end. She was forced to undergo another surgery 8 years later which resulted in complications that led to her death. Surgery isn't a 100% guarantee that it won't come back.

I pray a permanent prevention/solution can be developed for it.

  42. Nigeria medical care needs to be better than this. In US, you would hardly notice the cut after the fibroid surgery. It's only a small insertion that will drain the fibroid fluids. It's onoy in underdeveloped country that will cut you up like that. Medicine had advanced beyond that.

    1. U r so wrong! Laparatomy is different 4rm laparascopic

      Delete
    2. That's probably because in the U.S, they do closed laparascopic surgery their fibroids are way smaller than ours, hence the need for open surgery here, you yourself look at that big thing they brought out does it look like it can be drained as a fluid, use your sense.

    3. In the US she prolly would Hv needed a less invasive surgery like laparoscopy..

  48. I carried my 4 babies with fibroids. When I was preggie with my 1st child I had red degeneration when I was about 4mnths gone. Lasted 3 days. Was in the hospital those 3 days. Was given pain killers. Didn't experience it again with other pregnancies. I did notice that with each pregnancy, the nmbr of fibroids increase, my tummy was huuuuuge during each pregnancy. Pple used to ask me stupid questions abt d size of my tummy, I just used to ignore them cos of course, u kknow nigerians never mind their biz. Anyways, I had 4 healthy babies and all vaginally too. It was just God that they were not blocking my cervix or birth canal in any way and I believed God for healing frm these bastard tumours cos I didn't want surgery and I received my deliverance from them n now they are all shrinking. They also made me bleed so heavily every month nd I even became anaemic at a point. I just thankk God cos them fibroids are bastard tumours from the pit of hell.

    1. After a fibroid develops, the hormones estrogen and progesterone appear to influence its growth. A woman's body produces the highest levels of these hormones during her childbearing years. After menopause, when hormone levels decline, fibroids usually shrink or disappear.

Fibroid isnt as complicated as she is making it look..... its very common with women most especially in Africa, the severity depends on the location and size, and the surgery isnt that complicated either, so many women undergo the surgery, i have seen alot of the surgery as i am a medical student and it doesnt kill. she sounds ignorant about the whole thing herself cos even Pregnancy decreases the size of Fibroid, it doesnt complicate it, she should do research on it before scaring the shit out of everyone.

    2. Wow God will bless you ooooo..this toyin and her attention seeking syndrome.nigerians are ignorant.google is ur friend pla do a research about fibroids .95% of child bearing africa- americans women has it even without symptoms.
Fibroids might not even need to be operated on if its not given u pain or causing u heavy bleeding during ur period. I had fibroids b4 my 4 children 10 yrs ago it was a pea sized and i never had a painful or heavy period .but dr told me i dont need treatment but go on healthy diet .after my last baby i had a coil cos it shrinks it .now its no more there.
Pls toyin you are a literate fibroids does not kill. Yes all surgery kills if handed by unprofessionals but stop putting fear in people that are going through this just to seek attention 4 urself and business.and those gruesome pix shld be taken down not a good sight and shld be meant 4 u nobody else.its really unnecessary.and pls stay away from media spotlight 4 a minute and rest
