Photos: Customs boss flies private jet to Lagos

The Comptroller-General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd), flew a private jet, pictured above, as he commenced a 5-day familiarization visit to Customs formations and stakeholders in Lagos on October 12th. And some folks are knocking him for it...can't he fly private jets again. See another photo after the cut...

  4. It's an aircraft from the presidential fleet.

  5. He was on an important national assignment, and the PJet belongs to the Nigerian government, so its not out of place for him to use it.

  33. Well thanks for the information. But are you sure this is private jet? And if it is I think there should be justification for it as this government is different from old governments and they know that the flood light is being beamed on everything that is being done and that everything will be accounted for.
May God save the soul of our dear country Nigeria. Toks

  34. Is it really a private jet? Customs purchased a jet recently. This guy isn't flamboyant. He has even refused to use the convoy provided for him. He moves in just his Prado jeep. This story might just be an attempt to malign him.

  37. As long as d cost of flying d jet comes frm his personal pocket and isn't d tax payers money he is allowed. It baffles me HW government posts are celebrated in dis country instead of us seeing them as our servants or better still our employees. Instead dey are celebrated as royalties

  38. Linda,if you look at the jet carefully, you will see the jet belong to Nigeria customs service.Because the service has a jet for official purposes.
