Photos: 7yr boy returns $8,000 he found on a playground to its owner

The Massachusetts boy found the money on a playground during a Saturday play date with his uncle.
"I ran up the slide, and at the top I looked in the corner and there was this black check book, and I opened it up and I saw money in it, and I brought it back down to my uncle," he told WBZ.
Aiden and his uncle then took the money to the police who were able to track its owner, Elias Santos. Santos was playing with his kids in the park on payday when his earnings slipped out of his pocket. He left the playground without even knowing it was missing.

"When the police called me I was so surprised," said Santos, who only knew he was out of $8,000 after the cops asked if he was missing anything. Santos gave Aiden a $100 reward and thanked the kid for his honesty. "I am so grateful because we don't have people like this no more," he said.

Aiden said he learned the golden rule in Sunday school and knew he had to find the money’s rightful owner. "Treat other people the way you want to be treated" he said

    1. Why not? You expect the man to give him the entire money? What's most important here is that, they have formed a lifetime of friendship. Who knows where life would lead them?
of course, being Davido's driver hope you usually return the money he intentionally leaves in the car. Unknowingly to you , he has been testing you. #Pull your ear wella#

    2. Really nice of the kid. And for those stupid people asking if he only got $100, the man clearly stated that the money was his salary n he obviously has kids. He gave him enough money. He's a kid I'm sure that money would be enough. Nigerians are fucking dumb.

  29. Good luck. A naija kid who has seen poverty may not return the money. The parents will be like I will use it for your school fees.

  43. It's the intention of the innocent boy that matters not the monetary reward. Smh at some comments. So reward for good is now priced.

  45. MAY the good LORD richly reward that young man! May he go places in his life time, May he be a strong influence to his generations and others to come. His uncle inclusive cos some uncles would manipulate the kid and convince him on keeping the money to themselves. People like this are damn too hard to encounter theses days.
