One thing is to screen Amaechi, the other thing is to be confirmed - Rivers senator

Senator George Sekibo from Rivers state says that it's one thing to screen Rotimi Amaechi, and it's another thing for to be confirmed by members of the senate. Senator Sekibo and the two other PDP senators from Rivers state are against Amaechi's nomination as a minister
"The issue is not either to be screened or not to be screened. The issue is to be confirmed or not to be confirmed. They are two different issues. We cannot stop him from being screened but our plea is already before the senate. I don’t want to repeat it, it is before the senate. We have said it before the nation; it is in the court of the Nigerian people. The senators have the power to agree to what they want to agree to and to reject what they want to reject because it is not an individual matter, it’s not a personal matter, it’s a national matter.”he told NTA

  18. So amazing d length people can go & how short their memory. Senator George Sekibo clearly acknowledged how Amaechi returned him to the Senate on p249 of his book. How can he hate Amaechi this much? The Son of man must be betrayed & crucified but woe to him by whom he is betrayed. Whosoever rewards evil for good, evil shall never depart from his house. Bible quotes. As Shakespeare puts it, be gone, run to your house, fall upon your knees & pray to God to intermit the plague that need must light on this ingratitude. Hope Sen. Sekibo has ears.

  27. Linda reading from your customers on this blog whuch majority youth makes me ashamw of the confusion that poverty and underdevelopment have caused their lives youth that should stand on truth and justice and being jingled left and right support crinamls that they like and causing the othwr criminals that they don't like. In some countries it is youth like them that change politics and makes the leafers realised that they aren't ko foool. No wonder they never considers them useful for any appointment in government watch other advance nation, you will see the youth actively paticipating as governors and ministers this ones here are carried away by political drama and moments and it has made them unintelligent and funny the old men can see it glaringly. Come and be leaders of tomorrow with this wretched mind of yours. What a shame keep supporting the lesser devil over the bigger ones. Don' start revolution to clear your country from these evil men. You are in a long journey

  30. LIB commenters and Nigerian youth hmm!!!!. Politicians have stupidly used you guys as political thugs. Fighting one another on social media and looking very foolish doing it. We should me more interested in the people that will feel that will really do the job of building the economy to provide jobs, infrastructure, power and social welfare. All these politicians are only after money and power and don't care about the populace. We have not had light for several days now and at the beginning of Buhari's presidency we had abundance of it for some reason. APC told us that it was Buhari's body language that gave us light ( i can't believe the ridiculuosness of it all), they promised employment, to reduce the exchange rate of Naira to other currencies, to give N5,000 to youth corpers etc. These people chosen should be able to give us all of these. This is what we should be more interested in. Just go to countries like the UK and the US and see how the government takes care of their citizens. We are really not serious in this country Nigeria.

When you keep fighting someone and instead of killing him, you are giving him more life. That is what Amaechi's enemies are doing. You guys should just be ready to drink at the table d Lord will set for him and stop all these emptiness
