How would you rate the senate's ministerial screening?

The first leg of the screening and confirmation of ministers was concluded yesterday. On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate the exercise so far?

  1. Complete and total ZERO they scored. All I saw was business as usual - tak a bow and go. So wht r d differences frm d old wine's of d past...?

  2. There are no saints in Nigerian politics, so they are doing their best. Even the senators are not saints. So, I would say...so far so good. I would give them 8 out 10 in rating. At least they asked the ministers to be about some of their alleged corrupt past moves...on live Television. So, they are not doing badly.

  7. Ameachi should be screened this weak. You can't make him an exception because you want to bargain saraki CCB wahala. It shows pettiness and that corruption still reigns. You can't hold the president hostage, he has every right to select whomever he wants.

  12. I wont rate. Its simply business as usual. Some of the senators are not distinguished in their mental and patriotic dispositions.

  13. So far so good. Personally I'll rate d screening 8/10. Satisfied

  14. 8/10. Its been well organized, questions were direct and adequate. Nominees have been made to stand on their toes with relevant questions. www.virtualhub.com.ng

  18. They are all the same, i dont think anytin gud is going to come out from them.People re suffering, companies sacking their workers, nothing is moving in the country again, bcos of bad leader we ve today. So they re wasti time wit their ministerial appiontment or whatsoever they might call it,we the masses dnt care. APC's and their leaders should know that"God hears the cry of his people".If this is what you pple mean by CHANGE u better think twice.

  28. I'd like to see people nominated for clearly cut roles so that the questions asked of them would be pertaining to the precise ministry they would be heading rather than conjecture. I would rate the Senate 6/10. We're improving

  29. Take a bow a go. Business as usual.

  30. I will give them 4/10 that's E for effort, most of them were asking off point questions.pls senate do ur work well or I will come and do it for u...

  31. 3/10 nothing different from what was obtainable under PDP,no serious and tactical question, every nominee had an easy ride.Saraki u r beginning 2 disappoint people like me.U promised dat it will not be business as usual bt @ d end of day it is still business as usual.Even d so glaring petitions were not considered. No Difference

  32. TO BE HONEST I WILL SAY 80 PERCENT, CAUSE I MADE ONE OBSERVATION DURING LAI MOHAMMED'S CONFIRMATION MAJORITY OF THE SENATORS ECHOED NAY BUT THE SENATE PRESIDENT CONFIRMED HIM.

  33. 3..... Very poor. Taking a Bow and Go procedure is bad. They should be fair.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Very poor to my best of knowledge.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I would rate the screening process a 5. They should have completely ditched the Humorous "Take a bow".

    ReplyDelete
  36. Oh,That screening is just business as usual, nothing more.

    ReplyDelete
  37. 4 over 10,the nominees are allowed to speak for too long which i find DISTURBING,THERE SHOULD BE A TIME LIMIT FOR EVERY ASPIRING MINISTER.

    ReplyDelete
  38. 2/10 we still have a long way to go in the area of integrity, fair play and choosing people for what they truly have to give back to our country. #change is still far.

    ReplyDelete
  39. they have been so partial with some of the candidates, while bombarding some random questions to some nominees without pity. on my own scale, i guess is 5/10.

  40. i didnt watch the first screening and wont know what should be brought...but then on my way to the office this morning a man said bukola saraki doesnt really say much when the screening is been done, i think he should contribute more and not allow his awaiting trial of false asset declaration make him mute...

  46. Zero. There is no change in senate character. As it was in 2007, 2011, so it is in 2015
