Four female suicide bombers die after a failed attempt to attack Maiduguri today

Four Female suicide bombers lost their lives in a failed attempt to bomb Dala Yazaram community in Maiduguri today. This comes barely 24 hours after 55 people were killed in separate suicide bomb attacks in Maiduguri in Borno state and Yola in Adamawa state.

Eyewitnesses say four female suicide bombers made an attempt to attack the area but one of them was arrested before she detonated the bomb on her. She later died. “Three people have been killed and many injured. One of the terrorists was arrested before she could detonate,” resident Shuaibu Umara, a security guard at a nearby NNPC petrol station, told AFP

  5. Just so sad. We should begin to think seriously as a nation to undo the tradition which makes young women easily swayed into giving up their lives so cowardly and cheaply in Northern Nigeria. There is sure that imbecile like shallowness of mind that makes the girls not think deep before they embark on this journey. The motivation can not be threat . It is sure in the way these women grew and they were never given the opportunity to develop their minds. Just thinking, though very seriously.

  6. OMG!! They have been brainwashed, grooming children as suicide bombers, probably they told these poor kids the bomb will not kill them, these poor kids are so young and naive all we can do is pray. And government should create awareness on this.

  18. Something keeps puzzling me...whats the gain of taking the Army Command Hq to Maiduguri if BH continues to daily blow up people in and around the town?
There is urgent need for newer approach to tackling the Boko Haram menace.

  27. No intelligent reports have been given how these females are being used? Are they being held captive and threatened or brainwashed. They may also be victims themselves. There should be more nintelligent gathering to make head way cos suicide bombing is becoming a daily routine.
