Robbers storm Catholic Church in Abuja

The Catholic Church of Annunciation, Kubwa, was upgraded as a Parish by the Archdiocese of Abuja and less than 3 months after the upgrade, suspected armed robbers stormed it and carted away valuable equipment and a Toyota Camry.  The robbers forced their way into compounds and carted away whatever they could lay their hands on.


According to the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Matthew Kwaggas, the robbers stormed the parish after Sunday’s service and stole everything they received for thanksgiving, including bags of rice, money and drinks.

He also told the congregation during Mass that about two weeks after the first raid of the church, the robbers again broke in through one of the windows and removed all the public address system, a vehicle-Toyota Camry and  musical instruments.

    Poor and cheap robbers. They couldn't even widen their horizon and think big. COZA or Living faith could have been more rewarding. If all these 'churches' were really CHURCHES, no robber would go in and come out alive.

    Fulani people again,so the have stated going inside the church to steal imagine.this is what imbecilic jonathan did by dashing people to a man who cannot even win a councilorship election talkless of chairmanship.

    That's bad I don't know why ppl like bringing curse upon dem selves.... New church dat is still trying to grow ppl are buzy trying to bring it down. The rev Fr said the pesin or ppl involve should come and confess either to him or to d church if not dey should wait and see what Will happen to dem......
