A police man attached to the Maruko police station in Lekki phase 1 who goes by the name Mr Ik Okocha assaulted a woman yesterday. I witnessed the incident. The police man was smelling of alcohol and he looked and spoke like he was not in his right state of mind. The lady had an argument with a taxi driver then the police man decided to get involved. He wrestled with the girl and punched her even after his fellow police men told him to leave the girl. He was also going to get his rifle to shoot the girl, if it wasn't for the other police men who stopped him. This police officer should be expelled from the police force as he is a disgrace to the force." Watch the video after the cut

DeleteWhile driving tru sand fill one night, passing tru the rough patch behind mobil in Victoria Island, 3 police officers stopped me. Since I am quite familiar with the area I knew there normally isn't a check point there ,i was very worried but had no choice but to stop,
Deleteharassment started I was a female driving alone ,i pleaded with them to let me go since I was alone and in a dark area of VI, the officers who were in an unmarked police van told me they were from Maroko police station , the harassment continued and ended in the police men shooting thrice in the air before pointing the gun at me, at this point I called my friends to come and help me they could hear the shots been fired and thot I was being robbed, I feared for my life and even started praying since the police men were pointing the gun at me in my car.
Upon arrival of my friends and after parting with 5K the police released me.
My crime = Nothing ( easy prey,wrong place)
Now I am too scared to go out after 7 pm, if I see police my heart seems to want to pop out of my chest basically the trauma is severe, why because I was an easy prey for police men and they needed to make money from that illegal check point.
People need to b logical here. She hit a uniformed officer of the law. Even in America you will get you ass handed to you if you try such. This video do much for Ms. Aisha I'm sorry. If the cop was out of line that could have been documented without her breaking the law. We need to call a spade a spade.

ReplyDeleteI have never been a fan of the Nigeria police but the video clearly shows that the woman (Aisha) put her hands on the policeman first. She could even be seen going naked only to prove that she is a thickest madam!
How does that clip show that the man was drunk and why call call for dis dismissal from the force?

It has now gotten to the stage where Nigerians should be protected from the police. Imagine this poor woman could easily have been killed by this drunken police man. The police has become a menace to society and the only solution is to carry out a massive weeding exercise to separate criminals in uniform from real policemen. If this is not urgently done, then no one is safe anymore.

ReplyDeleteLinda let's be realistic. She assaulted the office first by pushing him to slap her. The officer instead of arresting her, slapped her. Both of them are wrong. By law th officer can sue her, however the case won't be treated as the officer assaulted her back. So the case has to slide. However it doesn't stop the police from performing disciplinary actions on the officer in question.

A civilized police man should never lay assault on any individual be it a prostitute or market seller. He must have said awful thing to that girl or tried to intimidate her. Haba you don travel well na you even carry your papa and mama go so you know that even in yankee no matter how a policeman provokes you, you do not raise a finger. if she feels assaulted she should sue and used this video as evidence in court trust me she will spend at least 5years in prison. we always complain about these men without thinking of ways to help raise funds for their wellbegin or packages for their families even after dying in the line of duty and note policewomen are no better but someone has to do that job. We should always pray for them.
