For years people have been clamoring for a black James Bond but from what the author said, that's probably not going to happen anytime soon. James Bond author Anthony Horowitz is being slammed the world over for saying British actor Idris Elba is too street to be play the famous British spy.
“For me, Idris Elba is a bit too rough to play the part. It’s not a
color issue. I think he is probably a bit too ‘street’ for Bond." he said while doing promotional interviews for his new James Bond novel, Trigger Mortis
Horowitz went on to explain his reservations about Elba: "Is it a
question of being suave? Yeah.”

I have no problem with his refusing to feature Elba as 007 agent but as I agree we've come to associate dat role with white actors but he should simply say dat rather than put him down by referring to him as street!
