Two brothers go in public bathroom but when only one returns, father reacts immediately

A Florida mother and father learned the most horrible way possible this week why little kids should always be escorted when they use a public bathroom.
The mother, father and their two boys were dining at a McDonald’s in Jacksonville when their two sons, one 6 years of age, the other 7,  went to the bathroom together as per the “buddy system.”

Unfortunately, the system did not work. Moments later, the older boy returned to the table by himself. This troubled the boy’s parents, so his father then walked to the bathroom himself to check on his younger boy.

When the father entered the restroom, he saw a man emerge from a stall and walk out. Inside that same stall the father found his younger boy pulling up his pants.

Without a moment to lose, the father then hightailed out of McDonald’s and chased the pedophile, a 33-year-old homeless man later identified as Keith Andre Sykes, until unfortunately the suspect got away.

Police later found Sykes hiding in a dumpster and booked him on a charge of capital sexual battery. He hopefully has a very lengthy prison sentence awaiting him.

What exactly happened to the father’s boy was not immediately known, though according to Chief Tom Hackney, “It’s clear that some kind of sex crime happened.”.

For something so sickening to happen to a six-year-old boy is horrifying, though it does go to show that you should always monitor the activities of your young children.

  4. Well, I feel really sad this happened. When my Son was that age, I NEVER EVER let him use the men's bathroom by himself. I took him t the Women's bathroom till he turned Nine. Even then, I will stand real close to the door of the Men's bathroom and tell him to go see if anyone was inside. He comes back out and says there are two men then l take him to the car for him to pee in a cup. I try to leave some disposable cups handy. If there is no one in the bathroom, I tell him to go in quickly but if any one comes in while he is using the bathroom and tries to touch him, he needs to scream as loud as possible. I will do my own little part to help my kids. I do not want to be insensitive but why would two parents let two kids that young to go to the bathroom themselves when there are sex offenders lying in wait. This is the same thing that happened at Chuck E Cheese. Too bad.

Lol funny you. But ure right, But listen; over watching your kids sometimes makes the kids inquisitive and Ends up becoming spoilt. Ask for God's guardians on ur kids. Except the Lord keeps a city the watch men watches in vain.

  6. I wonder why a homeless man whose goal should be to work hard to leave the slums would rather engage himself in something like this.... I guess he just wants a better "home".... in one of the country's jails - he sure has got one...

  12. I wonder if the world has just gotten sicker or we are more privy to the madness because of the proliferation of social media. Cos growing up, I don't think our parents had to monitor us with hawk eyes. We would go out to play with our friends or even get sent to the supermarket on our own without much fear of abduction, sexual assault, rape or any of this craziness! This one, even with your child a few feet away from you, you have to be on high alert. God help us!

  19. I sorry to hear that and I know if that dad would have came in there 2 mins early he would have been in jail. I never let my (5) daughters when they young be by themselves. Now that the youngest 2 are teenagers they wait on eachother but I still be close. I go in the bathroom with my grandson and he's 10. I don't care where we're at and the men be mad but I don't be in there for then ONLY FOR HIS PROTECTION. I do my grand daughters the same way too.

  20. Oby, that's a very very wrong statement, blaming a 6 year old boy for not screaming, you are simply blaming the victim.

On Sunday, a little girl dashed out from my Church to the restroom. Immediately, I notified the mother, who had to go in to check in on her. In my younger days, I would have accompanied her, mostly for security reasons. But I am older now, and such acts would be frowned upon in the society. So, I just told the mom.
