Twitter users not impressed with AP's description of Amal Clooney

Human-rights lawyer Amal Clooney represented Canadian national Mohammed Fahny, one of the Aljazeera journalists sentenced to three years in prison today. In a tweet posted this morning, the news agency referred to Amal as 'Actor's wife'. Twitter users were not impressed with the headline and voiced their displeasure. See some tweets after the cut...

Associated Press (AP) got the message and in a post later Amal Clooney was referred to what she actually is...a Human rights Lawyer and s successful one at that! Their new post read:
"Human rights lawyer Amal Clooney criticizes prison terms handed down to three Al-jazeera English journalists"

  7. You need the same lesson because you constantly introduce women by their links to a man.

  20. I get their agitation, but is she not Clooney's wife and by inference isn't she a lawyer? Would an actor's wife be defending a man on trial?! Anyway AP did well changing it.

  22. If no be say, na George Clooney, I for say she no dey him level. She's not your regular lawyer. She is biggggggg! The same way you can't see a successful professional in naija dating all this empty head musicians. But Clooney on the other hand is intelligent too but levels still they, thank God for his fame and money.
