Photo of the 72 year old carpenter Fayose made caretaker of a LGA

Above is the photo of Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state and the 72 year old carpenter, Pa Olatunde Afolayan, who appointed as the caretaker chairman of Moba Local Government. While appointing him yesterday August 28th, Fayose said;
"In my government, whether you are educated or not, you will get something. The vote of a professor and an illiterate is the same. So, under my administration, those who are not educated can rise to any level they want.”
Responding, Pa Afolayan said
"I have never gone to school for a day, but that does not diminish my intelligence. I may not be educated or certificated, but I have the experience to pilot the affairs of the council. I promise to surpass the records left behind by my predecessors to justify Governor Fayose’s assertion that local people are intelligent and visionary.”.

    2. If that 75 years old man was ur father or grandfather I guess you will still refer him as 'mediocrity, an uneducated 75 years old'. If it was bokohari that appointed a man of such age, u will say it's ok. I have few thing to insert into ur death brain; 1 if you don't change d way u think, you will end up begging phones from Nokia every year. 2 go back to ur village so your parents can teach you some manners. If you don't take my advice, I'm sorry u gonna remain a house boy for ever.

  16. This guy is a joke, with the statement "You will get something". Is this appointment done to do this man a favour or so that he can bring development to the LG.

    I am so not against his age or status, I just cannot comprehend with the motive behind his selection, by the statement "you will get something".

    Pa actually spoke very well.

  38. Well, when you listen to the average Nigerian discussing politics you would tend to agree with the Gov and the Carpenter.. But nonetheless, we must abide by our Constitution. Only time will tell. This is an experiment but we need to recall that one of the best Speakers of the National Assembly was a Plumber and he is now a State Governor.

    1. President of Nigeria n a chairperson in Ekiti state are doing same same experiment with same certificate. God job at least d chairperson from Ekiti do speak better English n I'm sure he won't need an interpreter if by chance he get to speak with President Barack Useni Obama.
