"Criminal activities in the state are becoming alarming everyday in the state and drastic action has to be taken. Ritualists are killing people. We won't tolerate that. When you see them in action, they should be shot on sight. When you see them perpetrating action that are unholy, bring them down. Once you find any policeman that is not discharging his duty correctly, please report such. The Inspector General of Police, Mr.Solomon Arase, has initiated 'Stopthebribes' initiative to ensure effective policing. Ogun State is fast becoming investment haven and we will not allow criminals to take away a good enabling environment from us. We are ready to comb criminals out of their hiding places. I want to inform you that the issue of ritualists and cultism will not be tolerated any longer."he said

DeleteHmmmm
DeleteGood one, I personally support the man in charge!
DeleteShit. .. good
ReplyDeleteReally. Does that sound legal to you. Police has now become the judge, jury and executioner. Does this commissioner even know what his job entails.
DeleteIs good sha but this may cause some innocent people death, maybe if they're falsely accused or set up.
DeleteAnd wah about the corrupt politicians
DeleteHmmmmm. I hope dis commissioner knows dat we r in a civilised society where every criminal's b it guilty or not is tried in d law court. Let just assumed dat he is b over zealous wit his job!
ReplyDeleteThe guy has no idea what the limits of his position are. Silly human being
DeleteI personally don't agree, innocent people could get get killed and moreover d victims could be killed....pls no no
ReplyDeleteI support d order but they shuld investigate and make sure it's actually Kidnappers o! Make una nor go kill innocent citizens
ReplyDeleteTrust my pple, de'll start killing innocent people n tag dem kidnappers n ritualists...would have been a good idea but not in 9ja where policemen are evil themselves.
DeleteThat's not right sir. You could kill the victim alongside the captors. Our NPF are trigger jolly fellow. This order is only going to justify their killing spree.
ReplyDeletehope they wont shoot an innocent person

They shud be careful not to kill innocent pple....
ReplyDeleteHe said "those cut in the act".....
ReplyDeleteIs that even legal, unless the kidnapper is posing a visible threat to the victim or the police, they should just arrest him. Naija police cannot shoot to maim or disarm they only shoot to kill
ReplyDeleteGood step
ReplyDeleteNaaah!! You will ansa war crimes for dat na!!! We lived in a civilised world!! Until they are tried and convicted you don't have any right to kill any suspected criminal person!!
ReplyDeleteThey hv givem dem cops the right 2b trigger happy.
ReplyDeleteyou should be fired for such utterances, since when did the NPF become judge n jury? You are indirectly promoting jungle justice Dumb man

ReplyDeleteUhm I wish osun commissioner will do same.a guy killed a man that came to fix something for him at home for ritual purpose @ilesa,the killers name is tope a popular car dealer known as topmost in isokun
ReplyDeleteWhat about due process? Hopefully nobody is ever mistaken for a ritualist or kidnapper because the police now have official clearance to be judge, jury and executioner. So much for rulenof law. @babashegi

ReplyDeletesupported but due to recklessness of our police force, there maybe cases of mistaken identity. Seems ogun state is now the headquarters for rituals and kidnapping.
ReplyDeleteBig no biko
ReplyDeletei dont know where to start with this so called inspector general of police.... if you shoot on sight, then what ever happens to the rule of law, where every criminal or suspect has the right to be tried in the law court, and how do u even intend to apprehend the accomplice if u already killed the person that will lead you to them..... this man needs to be replaced for making such statement
ReplyDeleteNice one, i support
ReplyDeleteHnnnnnnn, Oga ooo. The problem u av got is our societies r way too corrupt , fraustrating d efforts of our ready to perform law enforcement agent and dis is making undermining der efforts and its making it difficult for dem everyday. I can understand but hey, WE NEED A LOT OF DEPLOMACY jare
ReplyDeleteThose foolish police men we kill innocent people. Thinking that they have the law in their hands. Biko ,take it slow with us.
ReplyDeleteWrong order. These policemen will start killing innocent people now and claim they are ritualist/kidnappers.
ReplyDelete+rapists
ReplyDeletethe man is right, you guys dot know what is going on. many policemen have lost their family members to these criminals after they are released on bail by the court. the shoot on sight directive is most welcome. taking them to court waste time. the police are tired of cases of kidnapping and ritualists with the court of law not helping by allowing such cases to drag on for years.
ReplyDeleteThis is not a jungle nawww!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is not right, innocent people can get hurt
ReplyDeleteI prefer investigation first before anything o. I don't trust police mbok
ReplyDeleteHe must be replaced immediately. This will quickly create awareness to other ignorant policemen of the legal system which we operate in this country. What happened to rule of law, due process, etc? I know there are many evil people committing terrible crimes like kidnapping ritualistic killing etc. however, these people need to be apprehended and caught and interrogated to fish out all their backers and supporters. Also, people can be wicked. An evil person could set up and frame an innocent person to look like a kidnapper or a ritualist. They would then shoot on sight to kill only to later discover their error. No. We should never allow a man who makes such irresponsible and barbaric statement remain in such office. I can imagine what he does to all those innocent young men found wandering the streets at night because they could not get transport home etc. people are wicked O!!
ReplyDeleteSame thing they did in Anambra state
ReplyDeletenot good.its better for a criminal to escape rather than innocent citizen been victim/killed.
ReplyDeleteNigerians, deserve such action. whoever have ear let him or he goes with the penalty.
ReplyDeletehe is a big foooooooooooooooollllllllllllllll he is just giving this fucking trigger happy nigerian untrained bambooos calling their self cops more right to kill innocent people and please again who made the judge or the law to decide what to do he is an uneducated monkey
ReplyDeleteInnocent ones could get killed in d process....
