Nigerian Pastor is seeking a divorce over wife's excessive nagging

Tunde Adekunle, a pastor and founder of Christ Living Church, Owo, Ondo State yesterday Monday August 17th urged an Akure Customary Court to dissolve his 15 year-old marriage to his wife, Agbeke because she nags a lot.

The pastor who said that his wife is bent on nagging him to death revealed to the court that some of the scars on his body were caused by the constant fights between them.

According to a report by PM News, the pastor said there was no more affection existing in the marriage. He described his wife as a “disgrace to his pastoral calling” and also revealed that she once tore his cloth in front of his congregation while he was delivering a sermon.

Mrs Agbeke denied the allegations leveled against her but said she is willing to end the union which had produced four children. However, she accused her husband of infidelity and lack of responsibility.

In her ruling, Mrs. Olayinka Falodun, the President of the court urged the petitioner and respondent to take care of the welfare of the children and ensure their bright future. She, therefore, ordered the parties to come to court with two witnesses each at the next adjourned date. The case was adjourned till August 3.

  9. No man wants a woman that nags so,much as a wife, a nagging woman is the shortest route to death.
Good the both of them want an end to the union.

  26. Mstchew...and some people will still go to his church. I rather read my bible daily and stay at home on Sundays than go to this kind of church. What example is he teaching his congregation?
Nigerians can be so blind when it comes to religion, always digging up 'touch not my annointed' or 'do not judge'...as if the knowledge of good and evil u inherited from Adam and Eve is redundant and for fancy in ur brain. Mstchew.

  27. Lord hav mercy! True faith and walk in d Lord doesn't allow divorce in marriage except on ground of adultery.

If d Pastor can not manage his home how can he manage d Lord sheep's. Definitely he has missed his way and I pray d Lord redirect his steps.

  31. Some of these stories sound like tales by moonlight until you personally know of one at least. My Uncle got married to this lady after his 1st wife died. Biggest mistake ever. She is plain evil. I cringe everytime I remember their story... May God deliver each and every one of us from demons masquerading as human beings

    1. Honestly I have being an advocate for woman all my life but I have to say this, the rate at which women abusemen diz days is appalling, I have witnessed one myself. They will abuse the man both verbally and physical, inflicting injuries on their body and lessening their self worth, and just like the case of this pastor when the man finally speaks out society will come up with theories.

  34. His church needs to be closed down.. No more offering and paying of tithe if am a member of his church because a man that can't manage his little home has nothing to teach his large congregation... What possibly can such a pastor add to my life?

  47. How come no one here is saying anything bad about christianity as a whole??? I know for sure if it were to be a muslim u people would have been running ur mouths insulting Islam as a whole but ure only condemning d pastor not his religion as a whole.

    ReplyDelete
  48. @shats....no one will say a bad thing about d ways of Jesus christ, because his ways are dt of God.but u see,in islam muhammad married zayd's wife kill p'ple which BH are emulating...such life is totally wrong in christianity.so u see...Divorce is never part of christianity, that's why we condemn only d so_called pastor.
