Homeless woman severely injured and abandoned near Governor's office in Ikeja

A LIB reader sent in these photos. Said this woman who has lost the use of her legs, is seated night and day dangerously on the edge of the Lagos Ibadan Expressway, less than 1km away from the Governor's office in Alausa and less than 100m away from the secret service HQ in Magodo. She has been in this position for more than 3 days now.

Don't we have minimum safe harbour for disabled destitute like this woman? Can we please go there to help her? I'm sure there's a government agency that handles things like this.

  39. The emergency response team of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency had visited the alleged scene and moved around the edge of the Lagos Ibadan Express way right from the Alausa axis through seven up at both end of the express way to search for the supposed woman who is said to be abandoned but could not find her at the described spot. The team also moved to the other end of the road(alausa) where the office of the director of state security office is located through Shangisha road to the round about back to the Lagos Ibadan express down to Otedola axis as per the description, but could not find the woman said to be abandoned. We shall constantly beam our search on the area as described in the pictorial as the state government is committed to the safety of lives and properties of lagosians. For now I can authoritatively assure concerned individuals that we have conducted a thorough search and there is no sign of any abandoned woman in the said area. 43. Its better for d government to handle things like this. An individual may get into trouble trying to help. U don't know her story - like how she got there.
