DeleteIbo people,are you quiet now?
ReplyDeleteYou dey craze, na naija delta, no be them get oil. Buhari must fail.
DeleteIyoruba hahaha.
Shut up
DeleteThat man is from the South South
DeleteNiger delta
DeleteShut up! Is Niger Delta Ibo? The first class Doctor is Executive Vice Chairman & General Counsel Exxon Mobil the whole of Africa Region. I don't think NNPC appointment can pay him, what he earns already except he really wants to serve his country. Let's wait & see whether he will accept the appointment or not.
DeleteNiger Delta is not a tribe but a name or organisation of all oil producing states in Nigeria which includes all south-south zone; south east(IMO,abia, anambra); south west(ondo); this totals 11 states that makes up niger delta.
DeleteHe is an igbo man from delta state..igbo roots, igbo language, igbo names,etc..
DeleteGod one PMB. We look forward to more representation from the SE & SS.
ReplyDeleteIbo people.is the new appointee from daura too?
ReplyDeleteMallam ure insane

There is ijaw, itshekiri ,igbo, etc in delta state.
This man is igbo.
Congrats!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to him. Good move by pmb.
ReplyDeleteWat has law gat to do with petroleum? Mtschew
ReplyDeleteMugu, didn't you see he was the Executive Vice Chairman and General Counsel of Exxon-Mobil (Africa)
DeleteAsk Exxon Mobil
DeleteYou are not smart..
DeleteThere are different types of leadership..read up!!!
U dont need to be a petroleum engineer.
I am sure he has certification in the sector!
U think companies like exxon mobil are joking with u?
Just looking for another overly sentimental reason to hate on pmb....u r shameless!
U embarrass the igbo tribe whether by origin or marriage!
Perhaps Petroleum Law!
DeleteChai! Did you just ask this question? Are football referees footballers? He's been in the petroleum sector for years.Damn! Quality of Education these days.
DeleteFool. Go and read his CV. Ojugo.
DeleteIgnorance is a disease and hating is worse. Law has many branches related to petroleum, it is the most versatile profession in history, it is just like asking what has law got to do with medicine, dear Olodo there is an aspect of Law called Medical Jurisprudence, as well as Petroleum Law, Intl Commercial Law, Petroleum Policy Law, Energy Law, Oil and Gas Law all these are directly related to law, they don't go offshore often they are the movers and shakers of policies, joint operating agreements and production sharing agreements as well as settlement of disputes that affect the industry. Get yourself educated and stop displaying your ignorance.
DeleteU no get sense, dey said he is d vice chairman of ExxonMobil ,n u r asking wat law get to do wit petroleum mumu, for ur info he deserves it
DeleteHe has worked for years in the oil and gas industry, go and do your research!
DeleteApparently you've never heard of oil and gas law.
DeleteIt's called Energy Law. Why do you think the petroleum industry has stagnated following the failure to pass the Petroleum Industry Bill into law? And lawyers make good administrators - Fashola, Akpabio, Chime etc. have shown that in their respective States. What did the Engineers that headed the NNPC achieve administratively?
DeleteU do realise that his job as NNPC boss will not require him to personally get on a rig to drill oil? Instead, he will restructure and manage a new age in that industry, including new contracts. Inugo?
DeleteExpert in petroleum law and practice...u don hear, olodo??
DeleteWow! Dis guy must really b don making a first class in law and also attending d pretigious Harvard school.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely he worth d appointment and thank God baba go slow finally appointed someone frm d East. Congrats to him!
Are you blind. Is Delta state in the east?
DeleteHe is a big don, n I kn him personally
DeleteAnon 6:46pm.. is tribe by geography or origin ?
DeleteU only see the geography.
Obama is an american....but he is kenyan too, right?
PH is in SS, dont u have igbo tribe there?
Is SS a tribe?
Is SE even a tribe?
Ask the man his tribe...his name is IBE KACHIKWU
It is always the Igbo people they get to take the risky jobs!
ReplyDeleteThis is y u can't mk it. With dis ur stupid comment, you cannot prosper
DeleteSouth South you mean
DeleteNiger delta
DeleteYou are so gullible, must u complain risky job indeed. If it was given to another region u wld still complain
DeleteWow! Dis guy must really b don making a first class in law and also attending d pretigious Harvard school.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely he worth d appointment and thank God baba go slow finally appointed someone frm d East. Congrats to him.
South South not east!
DeleteEven with the name Emmanuel Ibe,some people will still accuse Buhari of being tribalistic
ReplyDeleteBush girl.

ReplyDeletePMB going for the best brains. Thumbs up Baba
ReplyDeleteHope the igbo leaders and the hungry ones will stop crying now
ReplyDeleteAfter u stop hating.
DeleteNiger delta
DeleteUr a barstard u coward. Igbos will still remain the superior tribe in Nigeria. Bigot
DeleteOk thats a welcome development, lets see if he make more appointments!
ReplyDeleteAll the best
ReplyDeleteI think this guy is a professional , weldone Buhari
ReplyDeleteSome pdp noise makers and buhari haters will soon tell us that Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu is Buharis step brother from daura in katsina state.I forgot to add the biafra noise makers who can't come to terms with the defeat of the ijaw jonathan who fooled igbos to get their votes.
ReplyDeleteKachikwu is not from the SE; end over story.
DeleteFoool show ur self let me end u . War is coming again. And the British won't help u this Time food done yapa for east and we have ten times the money to buy weapons after awolowo took our money . Weak muta fuckers. Come stay and fight u fool . Slaves
DeleteWho are u threatening with war??? Mtchewwww. Oshisco......Start the war na and Let's see if u will live to tell d story.
DeleteAnon 6:48pm- south east is not a tribe please!
DeleteIf i may ask u,what do u think kachikwu ibe's TRIBE is?
Anon 7:23- u sound ignorant and u havnt seen war.
If our igbo land is so wonderful, why are we competing with yorubas in terms of population in lagos?
What is chasing us from the east, could it be advancement in the east?lol
There is no tribe known as SS...there are many ethnic groups in the south south region and fortunately/ unfortunately for u, IGBO is one of the ethnic groups(minority) in the SS.
During the election GEJ who isnt of igbo roots or igbo from south south suddenly became our brother? Cos of hatred for buhari and the north?
We igbos are not serious and we lie to ourselves- a bad combination!
Peace.
Bravo..
ReplyDeleteGood job wel done Mr president. Buhari

Man, you have a lot of work cut out for you so roll up your sleeves. The economy is in bad shape with the fall in oil price. Don't fall our hands.

DeleteTribalistic igbotic fools....where y'all @? God bless my country Nigeria jare!
ReplyDeleteRasak bloody cow aren't u the fool?
Delete~D great anonymous!
You are the oil drinking bigot. So we should be rejoicing about 1 solitary appointment in a company that will soon be broken up. Rubbish! And besides, the guy is from the South South region.
DeleteUr a fool. Don't worry ya self poor boy. The igbos would leave soon. Please try to fight us so we can have a reason to revenge and do more than hitler. Coward!
DeleteU are d biggest fool! When has it become a crime to voice an opinion enh? So igbos should not talk again in nigeria because she belongs to u right? Mtcheeeewwww
DeleteTo Iriase Ikhile who appears critical about Ibe's sense of accountability, transparency and productivity, I want to assure you that he will not disappoint Nigeria and Nigerians as he has come a long way; right from his days in Texaco. The degrees are just as good as his character and if you do not know (but I guess you should given you are from Edo State), his late father, Justice Kachikwu was a judge of impeccable character in his days in the old Midwestern Region and later Bendel State. It is in the family! PMB, you are on the right course with the appointments you have made so far ..... round pegs in round holes and not the other way round.
ReplyDeleteWhat will a law graduate do in a petrochemical industry
ReplyDeleteIgnorance is a disease and hating is worse. DeleteWow! Dr. Ibe Of "Fatherhood" HINT Magazine! Bravo! http://www.bummyla.com
ReplyDeletewaaaaaaaa sai Baba why? why? why? the Igbo? we don die El Rufai talk ham say if u don Kill NNPC, NNPC will kill us now is the time to die as you appointed Igbo man for this lucrative position. Why did I wasted my vote for you. I wanted you to appoint my person from Kogi among the top NNPC executive! I hop you will give us NPA!
ReplyDeleteIgbo Kwenu, Kweze nu o. At least we can now drink water in peace from our brothers from the other mother.
ReplyDeleteHowever we must accept that this is a good and bold step from Sai Buhari. He went for one of the best from the Igbo stock like OBJ who went for Professor Soludo and many high class Igbo professionals. OBJ had more Igbo than Yoruba Ministers in Powerful Ministries in his administration that some people felt OBJ must have been one of the lost Sons of the then OBI of Onitsha.
He is a son of Igbo Land from Asaba, Delta. Which technically makes him a SS person but he's a true Igbo man so we Igbos won't complain. Nice one "Baba Go Slow"
ReplyDeleteWe urge you to look towards SE as well for better Geopolitical balancing.
Ibe Kachikwu is a credible force to recon with. Being VP at Exxon Mobil no be beans. Thumbs us Buhari, I dey hail Baba. #ProudToHailFromOnitcha-Ugbo
ReplyDeletePlease someone should tell him to cross-check the NNPC exam we wrote last year December, We have not heard from nnpc since.
ReplyDeleteSharaaaaap all yall baggers insulting Igbo pple, its called freedom of speech so out of how many names listed so far only one Igbo man and they supposed to jubilate over that, blind Nigerians una eyes go open one day. Take it or leave it ur president is sexist and tribalistic
ReplyDeleteOhanaeze, please come and complain.
ReplyDeleteBuhari don appoint another Northerner named Kachikwu.
Wa hs law gat to do with engineering??? Na wa o this country, dat means Bsc cobbler, or Bsc animal fencing and wiring can become NNNC BOSS
ReplyDeleteI'm a very proud Onicha Ugbo man...and i looooooooooooove Dr. Ibe Kachikwu. definitely the smartest man from that region. he set a new record for law ph.d in havard. best graduating student at UNN, Law school. he's alot of brain with plenty fun(Hints days). A perfect choice by Baba go slow.....excellent appointment. #ONICHA UGBO..#ONICHA UGBO..#ONICHA UGBO...#ONICHA UGBO..#ONICHA UGBO...#ONICHA UGBO
ReplyDeleteGood for him. Just do the work you have been assigned otherwise your own go worse pass the ones wey don dey dia.
ReplyDeleteChai igbo wahala
ReplyDeleteDelta is South South. Not South East. Calling Kachikwu Igbo is like calling d former president igbo. They are NOT igbos at all.
ReplyDeletePlease read about the Asaba ppl...they are more Igbo than SE ppl
DeleteThe publisher of Hints and Complete Fashion
ReplyDeleteWhile I continue to watch and try to keep an open mind on the ongoing appointments been made by the President, I find my sense of impartiality been stretched to a breaking point at the obvious sectionalization of these appointments to Nigerians of Northern extraction.
ReplyDeleteI see this NNPC GMD appointment as masterful sleight of hand by the President. I ask the following to be noted:
1)why would the President go and pluck a serving Vice-Chair of one of the most nebulous IOCs in Nigeria as the new GMD? How does this not present as a bias against other IOCs (not that I am an admirer of them by the way as they are all brothers of the Seven Sisters - in case you are wondering, google the seven sisters, the mothers of todays major IOCs) and Domestic Oil?
This is akin to President Obama plucking a Chevron Executive to head the US Energy Department! Under no circumstance or consideration can this not stink!
To further add insult to injury, at the swearing-in stands the CEO of Exxon himself!Anyone who is familiar with gentlemen/women of this caliber would know that an employee who has risen to the level of Vice Chair in a bureaucratic conglomerate like Exxon will forever be loyal to his true masters. I assure you that this is one of the main problems with Okonjo who after 20+ yrs at the World Bank found it difficult to answer to her new master, Nigeria when she became Finance Minister.
2) So Mr. President has presented a wolf in sheep's clothing for all those feeling jittery about his Northern agenda, he presents an Igbo man who I can assure you is no more Igbo (at least in thinking and character) than you can call an axe a hoe. The new GMD is a full Exxon American from the top of his head to the sole of his wing tips.
3)If you are a student of history, go back and you will see that the IOCs have always been comfortable with Northerners in charge. Afterall they owe a huge part of what they are today to the first 40+ yrs of their growth under the Northern hegemony. While we may not be back to square one, we are certainly going around.
4) As those of us waiting for the appointment of Ministers in September, by the time you get to that dining table, you will find beautiful dishes with no food in them. Right now Mr. President is busy fixing his people into key positions that are and will be the engine room of Nigeria. So you will find that indeed, he will adhere to the zoning formula for Ministerial appointments but I assure you, these ministers will be next to powerless and mere paper tigers. For instance, I will dare the new Minister for Information whom I believe will be a non-northerner to cross the new NCC Chairman. Likewise, I will dare the Minister of Petroleum (if one is indeed appointed) to get in the middle of this cosy relationship between Mr. President and Exxon. And from what I understand the new streamlining of the CBN and the financial sector including the almighty corrosive banks will all but render a Minister of Finance useless.
These are just a few examples, but please use them as templates to consider past and future appointments of President Buhari.
There is an ill wind blowing.
