Wow! Check out a road in Akwa Ibom state after heavy rain

This is Atiku Abubakar Way (road) in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State this morning Thursday July 2. It's one of the major roads in Uyo which has been rendered impassable after heavy rain. The drainage system in this country is something the government needs to look into seriously.

    4. They said Akpabio was the best governor in Nigeria but all of u can see with ur eyes now, mtchew!! Who will accept before that he/she is a thief? EFCC should wake-up from their slumber and stop hunting Yahoo Yahoo boys and do the real job very well, those criminals politicians need to be in Kirikiri prison. Becos anybody can not just loot public money and go away with it just like that. EFCC should hunt this people, FFK suppose to be in Kirikiri prison as now, but EFCC are dangling around saying they themselves surprise abt FFK judgment. in my own view if dose politicians want to loot public money they'll use their sons or their relations names to acquire the property they want to buy.

    2. Yea I wonder too. Good point you raised there. Did lagos even have a governor? Cos with how irritating the streets looked littered with dirt and with flood water like...neck high, I'l rada live in along this street here than even stay in lekki.

  4. What a coincidence the post below is accusing the uncommon transformer of embezzling state funds.
No doubt this is a case of poor drainage system, when you construct road for shows and cameras, it comes out this way.

    2. Mr man I can see you are a complete jack ass, but if you are being paid to be sentimental and one sided in your comments about politics; carry on. BUT if not, am sorry bro you seriously need deliverance. The worst of it all is if you don't have a job, then go village the solution to these your selectional madness lies there. Road flooding yes most time are as result of poor or no drainage system. Your almighty Mr right(fashola) was also 8years in office with a regular Tv programme and slogan ekoo n' baje showing lagos is working bah? Was he able to stop lagos flooding? Was he? The same way most of lagos is lying below sea level is the same way Akwa ibom is. Get a life bro! We should be talking about general protection of our shorelines not antogonising. APC is in power now and it seems they heven't recognised it yet because all there statements and actions still look as if they are still opposition. #Getalifebonario

  10. And that's in the state with the best pipe jacking system in Africa that has gulped billions of Naira by Akpabio's administration. A man who claims the petition against him is baseless. Akpabio is just an unrepentant thief.

  21. It's disgusting when people come on this platform and display their ignorance on issues they know nothing about. How many of these people have ever stepped their feet on Akwa-Ibom Soil? You can hate Akpabio for all I care, it doesnt change a thing. These ignorant folks have forgotten that even if you have the best roads and people are not disciplined enough to dispose of rubbish like empty plastic bottles, pure water sachet, polytene bags and all sorts properly and they find their way into the gutters, there is no way you will not have floods soon as the rains start coming. I bet you, there's no state aside from Abuja that have better roads than Akwa-Ibom State. Rubbish!
