Ahamefula, the son of Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha graduated with
a first class in Mechanical Engineering from the University of
Manchester today July 16th. His parents were there to witness his
graduation. More photos after the cut...
I knew alot of fools will say congrats without thinking twic why that boy go to imsu or futo or unn but his father sent him london to school. At london rochas used imo state money to pay for his son's hotel accommodation,school fees etc that cost millions of pounds or dollars While in imsu or futo needs money to get equiped our labs with goood facilities so that education weill improve for better and foreign will come to the state to aquire education. Recently imsu was on strike and stil threnten to go emback on striker. Now there is no money to pay workers and their salaries are been cut 50%... Yet rochas claimed that the state is owning him and withdraws his scam free education in the state. Is high time we open our eyes aand say no to all this selfish leaders like rochas.

Adaobi, Vicky is absolutely wrong... Even without being the governor of IMO state he would have successfully send his kids abroad to study.. Mind you, cos he didn't send him to FUTO or any tertiary institution in nigeria doesn't make him a thief neither does he make him a bad person.... People from Niger, Benin, Chad, even sudan an d somalia don't come to Nigeria "the giant of Africa" to school. They'd rather go to Ghana if the don't have enough money to go to other 1st world countries. This trend of everyone getting first-class in the UK...they have seen that foreign students are a source of revenue for their universities. It used to be that students with distinction were retained in the univeristyfor phds and what not. Now they just go to school for 10months get a first-class and are kicked out. Mind you this distinction everyone is raving about is just disappointing. When the pass mark is 70 how won't everyone get that even without studying? To put it in perspective a first-class graduate knows 70% of the subjects they study not 95% like the rest of the world. It's obviously a money making scheme for the UK and Nigerians are their main customers.

ReplyDeleteThis trend of everyone getting first-class in the UK...they have seen that foreign students are a source of revenue for their universities. It used to be that students with distinction were retained in the univeristyfor phds and what not. Now they just go to school for 10months get a first-class and are kicked out. Mind you this distinction everyone is raving about is just disappointing. When the pass mark is 70 how won't everyone get that even without studying? To put it in perspective a first-class graduate knows 70% of the subjects they study not 95% like the rest of the world. It's obviously a money making scheme for the UK and Nigerians are their main customers.

ReplyDeleteCan't imagine why some fools can't appreciate good thing in their lives, please kindly congratulate the young man instead of calling him and the father names! I wish to remind us that Rochas has done a great thing in the lives of common man with his private money, also I want those who are claiming that he used their state funds to send his son to study abroad to understand that Rochas was the Richest politician in the whole Africa before he became the governor. Then he worth over 170 billion.

So he does not need government money to send his son uni abroad.That man has made Millons years ago even bfr u were born. Am nt Tryna hołd brief for him and take note i am nt Ibo or from imo either. ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the 1st class grad. I just wish his dad would pay workers in imo state. It's 2months now for judiciary staff and 3mnths for other civil servants.. It's pathetic and inhumane.. That is my humble plea.. @Flow_mclaw
