Photos: Ghastly accident on 3rd mainland bridge

A ghastly accident involving a commercial bus occurred this morning July 12th on 3rd Mainland Bridge. Eyewitnesses say the bus was in top speed when it suddenly flipped and somersaulted. More photos from the scene after the cut...

Sudden Somersaults of this nature are usually caused by the rear axle hooking up while the vehicle is in motion. its poor maintenance, the rear axle needs to have grease (axle oil) pumped in to it at a filling station at least once in 6 - 12 months depending on volume of usage of the vehicle.

  14. I strongly believe from the pic that even Noah's ark is newer than the bus.the bus really look old like something made in the 60s and ought to have been shredded long ago. Not worthy to be road used even in the remotest part of a village.
