Two days after calling off their 7-week old
strike over unpaid salaries, Osun state civil servants have resumed a
fresh strike. The workers are alleging that the state government have
reneged on the memorandum of understanding signed with the state NLC
leadership before the strike action was called off on Monday July 13th.
TThe
workers say as part of the Memorandum of Understanding they signed, their January salary was supposed to be paid starting from on Monday July 13 while they await
the payment of the remaining salaries when the bailout from the Federal
government gets to the state. They say they were however surprised that
it was only the junior workers in the state that received full payments
of their January salary while Senior workers got half of their salaries,
a situation the state NLC leaders saw as suspicious and immediately
called for a fresh strike.
Haba!

ReplyDeletelet's just take a moment to believe he's not corrupt but while d hell would he not be able to find a means to pay he's workers after fighting to get to that position if it's not pure redundancy ? I laff at dis so called governors cus they all are just acting foolishly. They have all d opportunity and means in the world to create wealth and enrich the lives of their citizen but yet they fail to do so.
ReplyDeleteit's appalling to still see them crying fowl that they need bailout for their states while they go around flying pj's and being driven in luxurious cars like they deserve even second hand keke napep.
