Niger Delta group claims that Buhari wants to arrest & imprison GEJ

Yesterday, a civil rights organisation, Vanguards of Nigeria’s Democracy, claimed that president Buhari is planning to malign and imprison former president Goodluck Jonathan on fabricated charges
“We, the members of the Vanguards of Nigeria’s Democracy, are aware of some clandestine moves made by the APC-led government to probe, investigate, malign and imprison ex President Jonathan. We are already aware of the trumped-up charges the APC government is leveling against a man who has diligently served the Nigerian state at the highest level of government."

“The APC led government should take notice that the appointments made so far are skewed in favour of the North, as no Ijaw man has been appointed. While an Ijaw President did not discriminate in appointment, President Buhari is implementing a Northern agenda through some of the appointments.” the leader of the group Osaghae Ogiemudia, said in a statement
The group also claimed that the ongoing controversy between former Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole over Excess Crude Account and allegations that she spent billions of naira on his re-election, is part of what they want to use against GEJ.

Reacting, Presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina, said it was 'mere speculation'
“All these are speculations and I cannot react to speculations because there is nothing concrete yet against the former President.”

  9. If nothing is found,he'll walk so stop fretting.I however know that a lot will be found.I remember mentioning here several times when we were calling Dr Goodluck the hero of the century that some people will lose faith in mankind if they know the shenanigans that went on in the immediate past government.
My sources however said at the time, that Dr Jonathan Goodluck unfortunately didn't know half of what went on during his watch. He signed documents without properly going through them etc.
I was told he was shell shocked and burst into tears when he was confronted with certain facts.
Unfortunately however,he was the head and cinc and though he didn't directly commit,he signed the documents. The people around this man should be shot for what they did to him.His wife was too busy minding other peoples businesses and grabbing as much as she could that she left her primary assignment amongst greedy wolves.where are they now Dame? They left you to waddle solo.I hope Dr Goodluck gets out of it.A good and trusting man but definitely too weak to lead.
The stories will unravel.lets just wait

  13. GEJ was the best president that has ever came on board. Whoever is speculating GEJ arrest would be creating more crack in this country. Arrest Book haram, created jobs, bring down fuel price to N40 per litter, make naira equal to US. Dollar, tackle corruption from the root cause like GEJ. Four yes programme is almost at the corner.

  14. Somebody should tell that OLD FOOL Buhari to be careful with the way he's going about his witch hunt. He should not dare the Niger Delta people if he wants to enjoy his tenure, else he will leave Aso Rock before his four years tenure elapse. This is a warning! I think it's time this scam called Nigeria is put to an end. Enough of this northern cows stupidity. We are ready to resist any stupid move to oppress any Niger Delta son.

You guys had your shot and bled this country dry proving that you possess neither the ethical background nor ability to rule anything without allowing your inbred criminal instincts take presidence. I say arrest his bitchass and let him rot..unless he produces all the money stolen during his administration.

  44. It's impossible ' and if that will happen then he buhari must start from obasanjo to all the Pdp governors that sponsored him with their state government funds and defects to Apc hoping to be ministers which of those are Chibuike Amaechi and so on. Finally if he try's it is gonna bring war in nigeria and break up.

  49. To be honest , I hate it when these fools keep trying to play this ethnic card . It's getting old . What the masses in the south-south want is a government that has zero tolerance for impunity, corruption and a govt committed to infrastructural development; a government that cares about the masses, it doesn't matter whose ox is gored along the way as long as the masses r carried along , no problem . Stop this bs about not appointing an ijaw man or a south-south man . Is that the problem of the nation now ? With the human resources we have in this country we shouldn't be a 3rd world country after more than 50 yrs of independence. And all you idiots are worried about is frivolities like tribalism/ethnicism . Shame on u idiots! I know after being paid pittances by Jonathan a lot of u morons start speaking out of your asses .

If u did shit in the last govt u have to pay. We in the south-south are much wiser nw. If Buhari can give us what we want then what does it matter where he's from or the pple he chose to appoint ? We want change, accountability, we want the best for this nation.

  61. That will be the most stupid thing this govt.should do.Mr Buhari should focus on what he wants to do for Nigerians to better our lives and not start a war no body sent him on.It will be his biggest mistake touching Jonathan who through Gods mercy stepped aside for him to be president ending every madness or even war that would hv ensued had he done otherwise. He should also not forget He didn't win Jonathan by a landslide...Jonathan has really good supporters that will fight for him if he tries anything on him. This Buhari ishould not start making life difficult for Nigerians abegoooo. There is Bokoharam already let him not go & provoc another ethnic gang abegoooo. It's now about saving lives & properties & doing better than Jona ooo & not start a war so Baba Buhari abeg face your work first oooo.

  68. This kind of civil right group is exactly the problem this country has.So if Jonathan was involved in monumental corruption,he should be given an award, his deeds covered with leaves & we move on? Who's sponsoring these groups? Those sponsors are Nigeria's real enemies.

    ReplyDelete
  69. morons of Niger Deltas, can u shut ur trap mouth? Clear conscience fears no accusation: a probe does not mean imprisoned, it is looking into the affairs of a person and when he is found wanting he may be summoned to explain. But if there are traces of malpractices he will answer for justice sake.

former president Jona, Okonjo-iwela, and Alison Maduake must answer Nigerians how they have used our collective resources. i have not been paid salary for 3 months now, does it bother you how i feed and take care of my family? some families have been divided because their wives are tired of hearing that their husbands have not been paid, some children have stayed at home for months because their parents could not pay their school fees

Okonjo-iwela could say that GEJ unilaterally authorized the withdrawal of $2.1 billion from our Excess Crude Account between November 2014 and May 2015; how many are we in Nigeria? Why are we suffering in the mist of many?

    ReplyDelete
  70. BUHARI LEAVE JONATHAN ALONE BUT PROBE ALL THOSE PDP CROOKS THAT SURROUNDED HIM. THEY ARE THE MAIN THIEVES.

  71. Buhari should respect GEJ and leave him alone. Those who stole money, property under GEJ should return such to government. I repeat, Buhari should leave GEJ alone.

    ReplyDelete
  72. BUT WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL IF THEY PROBE JONATHAN? IF HIS HANDS ARE CLEAN, WHY SHOULD HE FEAR PROBE? IT IS ONLY IN A CORRUPT COUNTRY LIKE NIGERIA THAT THIS KIND OF THREAT NONSENSE CAN HAPPEN. SMTCHEW

    ReplyDelete
  73. He cant probe only GEJ. He should also probe Shagari, IBB, Abdulsalam, Abacha, Obasanjo, Yar'adua for fairness. What he should concern himself with is retrieve all stolen money, cars, houses, lands etc belonging to the government.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Just wants to recover stolen money, dat's all.
