EFCC says 2 key witnesses in Nyako suit have died mysteriously

EFCC disclosed that 2 of its crucial witnesses in the N29billion fraud case against former Adamawa state governor Murtala Nyako, his son Abdulazis and other associates, have died mysteriously. The anti-graft agency told a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Friday July 10th that the mysteriously deaths of the 2 men have put fear in other witnesses who are now refusing to cooperate with them for fear of the unknown. EFCC begged the court to remand Nyako and his co-accused as it would be dangerous to allow them go on bail & also so witnesses could come forward & testify against them
"Two of our crucial witnesses, Ma’aji Mohammed Iro and Abdulmalik Dalhatu have died in mysterious circumstances and this has instilled fear in other prospective witnesses in the case" EFCC told the court
Ma’aji Mohammad Iro was a Regional Manager with Zenith Bank, who was in charge of Adamawa State Govt's accounts with the bank and allegedly assisted the former governor in the looting spree.

  5. Whew! Nyako has joined fulani jazz to his struggles abi? I think all civil servants in the state can testify against him since he owed them 3months salary before his impeachment. The members of house of assembly can also testify since he locked them out of the assembly for 3months thus preventing them from sitting. The whole state can testify since he chose his SA program to be given to strictly family, friends and people from his LGA as against the whole state.
Nyako is ripe for prison mehn. And no threat or jazz must stop him from wallowing behind bars.As God lives,Nyako must go to prison!

If the regional manager dies nko, what happens to the records of withdrawals still with the bank? Is the regional manager not under supervision of a superior; is the superior dead also? Abeg!

  20. I hope the EFCC are not indirectly giving up in prosecuting Nyako! Because when witness to a case are dead and the ones still alive a not willing or are dodging from going to court to give evidence, that means the case is dead on arrival!!!

  28. Linda, I will suggest that you use your 'influence ' to get pictures of the deceased in situations like this. Where are the bodies if it Isn't some tactics to cover the suspect up?
By the way, I like what you're doing -exposing the bad infrastructures. May God be with u.
