      In English language, "a" is use before a consonant sound (b, c, d, f, g, h, j, k, l, m, n, p, q, r, s, t, v, w, x, y, z)

      Examples:
      a Lib reader
      a lamb
      a dog
      a building
      a country
      a professor
      a university, etc.

      whereas "an" is use before a vowel sound (a, e, i, o, u)

      Examples:
      an apple
      an orange
      an umbrella
      an eye
      an hour, etc.

      Mr English teacher... no thanks ,cos ure actually wrong..
      An "LIB" reader is correct because in this case , it's an acronym as such L is pronounced 'el' 'ai ' 'Bee' which brings the vowel sound 'e' into play! Except Linda expects us to pronunce it Lib like 'Lid, Lick' , thats only when 'A LIB ' will be correct.

      Haha English teacher u get time. Also in English letters have sounds an the letter L makes the sound el so as per ur explanation, an shld be used before el eye be (LIB) unless if it's pronounced as one word lib den a is okay. Eng I totally understand u cos in my head I always say it shld an L (linda) ikeji blog reader. I'm rambled enuf.
