Bus driver beaten and injured by policeman along Lekki Toll Gate (photos)

The driver pictured above bleeding, hit and scratched the car of a police man named Azeez Adebayo, who rather than do things the proper way, came down from his car and attacked the man. The bus driver was later rescued and given quick first aid treatment. More pictures after the cut...

  9. Can you imagine, just because of that minor scratch.
And to think this is a policeman charged with the responsibility of securing defenceless citizens, I hope the police authority reprimands him for such inhuman act.

  20. let us be honest, this guy probably got what was coming to him.
this bus drivers are very rough and careless, when you try to talk to the either as a passanger or a motorist, you end up recieving insults and in some cases threats.

next time he will think will think twice before driving rough.

    kudos to the police officer.

    1. You are extremely right and probably the only honest commentator. The bus drivers are quite retarded, not staying in line and end up scratching people's cars.

If blood wasn't drawn, people would've been commending the officer.
And yes its a scratch to his "300k" car, but, its the principle behind it.
He got what was coming to him. I.M.O

  31. I won't say the police man did the right thing but people are too reckless and less concerned about another people's cars... They hit and scratch people and want to say" sorry" or "the scratch is small please manage". Most times I feel like same way the police man felt. By the way Joelle.

On getting to that useless area c in their rickety vehicle I was told there was a fight at that location two days ago. Before I could shout what? I had spent the night in that pit of hell called cell coughing out 10k to bail myself even it was obvious even to blind that 8 of us were wrongfully arrested. Nigeria is a dungeon and unsafe place to stay. Our security is God. Demons. I don't forget my bad prayers for you daily

  64. Linda THAT POLICE MAN SHOULD BE GIVEN AN AWARD AND PROMOTED. If any of you here use this toll plaza, then you will know what I mean. This bus driver should accept what ever he gets. None of you here will report how they drive on that toll point, they never join the queue, never and they always destroy other peoples cars and beg. This is happening right now as I write this, some one go and check. Rubish

  76. I m tired of reckless driving in this town.... today at the same Lekki toll, a taxi driver forcefully tried to drive me off my lane and scratched my car badly without any apologies. I lost it and dragged him out . I don't blame the police man. These drivers are terrible.

    ReplyDelete
  77. The Lagos bus drivers are very reckless on that toll gate! I'm sorry I don't even pity him! A lesson to the other drivers..

    ReplyDelete
  78. Hope he has learnt his lesson. You join the queue and they drive straight to the front and cut in like say everyone wey dey line na mumu.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I really don't know where to stand on this issue, it is wrong to assault someone, still this is the only language the drivers understands

    ReplyDelete
  80. Why are people blaming the police man and saying he has a cheap/300k car. You do not know how he sweated to buy that car or how much he advised the bus driver not to attempt whatever driving skill he has.
The bus and keke drivers along that Lekki road are all animals and if I were in the police man's shoes I will practice mortal kombat on his head: FINISH HIM!!
