Tinubu’s political career is coming to a sunset - Bode George

A former Deputy Chairman of PDP, Chief Bode George says the emergence of Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara as new Senate President and Speaker House of Representatives indicates that Bola Tinubu's career politically is coming to a sunset. 
"You know I predicted weeks ago that the APC is just a congregation of strange bedfellows. The most beautiful thing about what has happened is that Bola Tinubu’s political influence in Nigeria is coming to a sunset and it is about five minutes to midnight for him. If he cannot see this now, then it will be foolish of him. He brought in the APC national chairman and the vice-president and he thinks Nigeria belongs to him. 
So, he thought what he did in Lagos was what he could replicate at the national level and they have shown him that he cannot continue to be the lord of the manor. So, if he is wise, he will slow down. President Muhammadu Buhari, as an army general, has fought more battles than him and has an understanding of things.
The PDP was never dead. We were only given a bloodied nose, not a technical knockout. So, this is an opportunity to start regrouping and getting ready for 2019. I want to salute the dexterity and perfect political manoeuvres for which the PDP is well known. People like Tinubu and Chief Bisi Akande in Osun have always been local champions. Now, they have come to the national level of politics and they are now learning the tricks that all that glitters is not gold. I congratulate Saraki and Ekweremadu.
They understand what Nigeria is all about. The APC would discipline Saraki? Is Saraki a child? They probably think they are playing local politics like the one they play in Lagos State. I welcome them to the real world" he told Punch

      I am a keen observer of political events in Nigeria.U can't have your ways all the time. Bola Almed Tinubu is witty and brave. He has groomed many to be true leaders in the country and he rarely mingles with mediocres. The happenings in the national assembly shouldn't catch him unaware. He would have done his political arithmetic. The whole drama may be playing to his hands. He usually has plans A , B , C and even more. Mr Bode should know by now that he is not in the same class with Tinubu. As for mr president , he should know that politics brought him to power and he needs politics to maintain it. I believe he should interfere with but not control the national assembly. Take for example, the president promised to reform the judiciary. Isn't that interference?

    lol@ it's five minutes to midnight for him. I quit agree with Chief Bode George, Tinubu needs to be checked. I know he will have problem controlling the APC as he wants.More to come, the big one I foresee is a serious battle with the President who I know for sure will not take rubbish from Tinubu. We are watching, only time will tell.

    Some Elders should return to jail for indiscipline and lack of integrity. We have hooligans at the leadership of the National Assembly today because what Senator Bukola Saraki should be addressed to uphold integrity and respect for Leaders. He took the President, Vice President and the party that made him for granted. He is not setting good example for the Youths and the coming generations. The world had known Nigeria as a country where anything goes. We need Senators worthy of emulation, not tugs and undesirable elements. Somebody who defies his father, would have no respect for anyone. Senator Bukola Saraki should fear God and respect humanity.
