He went on holiday immediately after handing over power to the new governor. When he returned yesterday, he was welcomed by his teaming supporters at the Dutse International Airport. See more photos after the cut...

Alhaji Lamido while responding to questions from newsmen at his home in Bamaina village in Birninkudu Local Government area of the state said he is aware of the EFCC invitation and he will be honoring it.
“I am aware of the invitation.’’he said He said that EFCC is an antigraft agency of the government, recognized by law, therefore, he would not shun the invitation. He added that he will be honoring the invitation on Thursday June 18th.

  12. Lamido is the best thing that has happened to Jigawa state.Prior to his coming,Jigawa was more like a local govt than state. But he transformed the state into a mini haven. However his only flaw is his excessive love for his children and family. Most of the juicy jobs and contracts are given to his family members. Its a good thing he came back to answer for his crime

  18. This is not about being loved. This is a clear case of idleness and lack of jobs especially in the North of the country. You can have this in the East where people hustle a lot. They will ask you "nah him dey feed me?" or "onye ga no na shopu?" (who will stay at the shop?)
