Photo of the day: See how far Osinbajo is sitting from Buhari & other presidents

Is Prof Osinbajo not Nigeria's Vice President? Why is he sitting so far from President Buhari and other African presidents? The Nigerian president is pictured with President of Chad Idriss Deby, President of Niger republic Mahamadou Issoufou and President of Benin Republic, Thomas Boni Yayi at Aso Villa yesterday. Maybe that's where he's supposed to be seated?

Would you rather have him sit on the chadian president's lap?I know GEJ is your hero but dont see things that arent there biko. From what i see here,Osibanjo isnt the only one sitting far apart. And what has sitting position got to do with their status anyway?

    ReplyDelete
  26. I really don't know why this has to be news, Linda. Taking a look at that photo, who do you think should be seating far away? One of the first citizens of each represented country? The living room is obviously arranged in such manner as we see and do you expect that the arrangement be distorted if for instance the sofa Prof. Osinbajo is seated is drawn closer? Obviously you would have still made it news if he was sitting on the stool next to the presidents in a bid to be or feel among. C'mon, let's be realistic and reasonable.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Stoo whipping up unnecessary sentiment pls. You don't expect a VP To sit among Presidents. Its bad PR.

    3. I think he seated @ the right place and Linda don't take this picture too far, Also as a leader of APC party PMB, suppose to order that they should dissolve the election @ the senate chamber on that Tuesday, and PMB, should also remember after all he 'independently' through ANPP nd CPC tried several years without success. He must not forget where and when he was beaten by the political rain of Nigeria. He belongs to APC party and Nigeria he should always remember that and its tenets which re binding. How does he want to effect the much-talked of CHANGE when we the APC supporters and millions of Nigerians have been clamoring for with PDP as leaders in NASS, I mean Ike Kweremadu, and David Evil Mark the PDP hawks as senate leaders? If any youth in Nigeria can not see this? I can see what is coming from the camp of the PDP and its followers view of their closeness to achieving their selfish ambition of bringing down the APC, nd proving to Nigerians that if the PDP is termed a failure in governance, then no party can succeed also. Meaning that governing Nigeria is not going to be possible for any party just like that and to simply put it - that Nigeria can not be fixed as many had expected. In all of this. I urge Bola Tinubu, and APC chieftains to fasting up and take Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara the traitor to court and taco all the issue.

Yorubas, good for you people, Buhari and the Hausas have played you people for a fool. You think Buhari is not in support with the drama at the chambers? It was strategically planned with Saraki to take over senate president in place of who Tinubu wants to install. He knew what will happen that was why he was saying it right from the beginning that he doesn't want to get involved with the senate president election. All you Yorubas can do is to fight the Igbos that have not done you any wrong. You people have been sold out if you don't know. The VP is only there as a puppet. Sit tight and watch as events unfold.

I think it is time we begin to consider performance before taking sides..we should all be concerned about what this Government has for us,the change they have promised us,and hope Nigerians live better lives..trying to permutae on which geo zone is the loser or winner is just wrong..we are Nigerians first before being Igbos,Yorubas, and whatever tribe...

  108. This is quite pedestrian Linda and a calculated attempt to disparage the person of Prof. Osibajo and the office of the vice president! Did you see any other vice president there? must picture like this be in the news with suggestive caption?

You need to get more constructive here!

  113. Quite frankly this is getting ridiculous. I wonder why Linda will be pedaling nonsense like this. The fact is, regardless of where he is sat, the VP is in the room as at the time of the meeting which is more than I can say for other world leaders. How many times do you see Obama and Joe Biden presiding over the same meetings. Can you even from the top of your head name the Deputy Prime minister of the UK.
Stop patronizing and demeaning our very able and accomplished VP, whom if it pleases God could someday become the President of this country.

  115. alll you people should sharrap.. nor be where space de e go siddon and as you said.. president this president that.. he is a vice president. he is only active when buhari is absent. and yes i can imagine buhari would be less welcoming to him and not know how to pretend. Buhari is working by himself for now because curruption is everywhere in Nigeria.. who can the poor man trust. so mr VP should fend for himself jo and stop looking like a step child in pics... but lets see how the pair do with out talking too much first.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Madam Linda, stop making a mountain out of a molehill. Where do you expect him to seat, at leas he is in the room. Haba!!

  117. To the ignoramuses that voted Buhari ntooooooooorrrrr!!!!!!. The hausas used the pastor VP to get your votes. And to divide Christian votes. Let's watch and see though.

  118. Sometimes I wonder if its really Linda Ikeji with all her might and exposure that creates certain posts. What do you expect that they should sit on each others head? Hw can Osibanjo take preference over a visiting country's president? Linda give yourself respect and and stop overdoing stuff because you want traffic on your blog. I Love your work but pls audit your process in-house.

  121. It's now very obvious that this blogger is a foolish bigot n part of d major problem Nigeria is facing. Sowing seeds of discord thru ur blog is arrant balderdash. If u av any score to settle with d yorubas while not come out in d open?

  122. Eghosa please shut the f""up and stop been too excited. What is shame on this post is Osibanjo not Bola Tinubu puppet? or do you think Buhari the ex general trust him one bit..stop crying

    ReplyDelete
  123. The body Language is not good at all. Looking at how way d guy in blue suit is seating, u will understand that he is involved, comfortable and knows whats is going on. Osibanjo on the other hand is just like someone who is completely swallowed and intimidated by the caliber of ppl around him. Looking lost and detached like someone wondering how he is going to cope with this kind of environment for the next 4yrs. He is supposed to sit out and face the others directly like he is part of the conversation. He should better wake up, shed this his Pastor/Juman image and carry himself well lest he be like the next Jonathan if God forbid anything happens to Buhari.

  124. This post is extremely unnecessary and uncalled for. ... where PYO for sit? He was part of the meeting. If anything, it's funny why d presidents squashed themselves in one couch. ....and that too is none of my business

    ReplyDelete
  125. Where do you want him to sit? On top of Buharis head? get real my friend

    ReplyDelete
  126. The problem here is you, Linda, do you expect one of the presidents to lap him? you better be careful the things you say.

  129. Linda!!! you are very wrong on this. Where do you wants him to sit, on their heads or laps? He is the vice-president, and is there to give supports to his boss not to outshine him or hijack the discussions. Linda, you need to study about politics, power and delegation of authority. Linda, go to school, abeg.

  137. Linda, when you post pictures, try as much as possible to be neutral in your comments. Your blog seems to me like a tribal war zone, which should not be. The VP is a well respected man by men and most especially by God and if God has put him there, no matter the bad-mouthing,nothing will change it. What Nigerians should focus on is how our country will move forward and not how it can be pulled down. VP ride on, when people are busy mocking you, God is busy making you!

  142. Why are you guys crucifying Linda. Lindodo, I'm using political and leadership lenses here and I see what you mean. If it was just sitting arrangement then guys you need to compare the proximity of Buhari's seat to the seat Boni Yayi sat with the one Osibanjo is sitting.

Secondly, even with the current arrangement, Yayi had to lean forward to be part of the conversation.

Guys reason well. Afterall, Osibanjo is just a VP like every other VPs Nigeria ever produced

    ReplyDelete
  143. haba, Linda you re nt suppose to make a case from that now

    ReplyDelete
  144. This is what happens when people do not know proper sitting protocol. Linda shame on you. As Visitors to Nigeria, the other presidents sits at the right of the host president while the second in command sits at the immediate left regardless the type and sitting arrangement.

  145. @Linda do u want him to sit on there head???????
