Photo: Baby factory with 9 pregnant young girls discovered in Enugu

A baby factory was uncovered on June 13th in Etiti, Amankwo-Ngwo Udi Local Government Area of Enugu state by men of the 9th Mile Division of Enugu Police command. The baby factory which was operated by one Obinna, was keeping 9 young pregnant ladies, according to Vanguard.

Enugu state police spokesperson, Ebere Amaraizu confimed the discovery.
We had strong intelligence report about his activities. We had to put a tab on him for some time which eventually paid off. Nine pregnant girls at various stages of pregnancy were rescued" he said .
When interrogated, the operator claimed he ran a maternity home and not a baby factory. He said he got approval from the state's Ministry for Women Affairs
"I decided to run the maternity from my house. I am supposed to inform the Social Development and Women Affairs Ministry within 24 hours of admitting any pregnant women. I called the Ministry on phone instead of writing them. The people I admitted came without referral.”
One of the victims, Ugwu Christable, while narrating how she got to the baby factory said she was raped and brought to the baby factory to give birth
"I could not report the incident to my parents until it resulted to pregnancy. I was forced to marry an old man or leave the family which made me seek assistance through one of my aunties. She was the one that directed me to the home. At the home, all we do is to eat. We were asked to list what we want with the agreement that after delivery, we will leave our babies and go.”she said.

    10. Dearest Linda, I've got alot of respect and admiration for you but I gotta say that you disappoint me sometimes. You know how big ur blog is nationally right now and you also know that it is starting to gather a followership that can be likened to a religion and matters or comments posted up here actually can b taken quite seriously and could potentially incite hate crimes yet u still put all these tribalistic and hateful comments up post after post after post..I know u r not responsible for what people type but u owe it to our country to at least screen all of these tribalistic comments out for the sake of d already tense tribal wahala that is prevalent in our country today.
Comments like the ones made by Osa n Irabor are very offensive and if u think that LIB is js another blog that anybody can just post anything, then u have no idea just how powerful this thing uve got going for u is.

...U dont have to post this up, I'm just saying tho'

  26. Thanks @tolu. I dunno why there's a stigma attached to adoption. These are families who want children. Why shouldn't they give their children to someone who loves them. A N unwanted child hardly ever turns out well.

  28. Business business business.....hmmmmm,when would this ever stop..they would make them give birth and sell these babies for as much as 600k...this one is even better atleast u knw u are adopting...the one i hate is making women who have passed age of menopause or those who are young and can't have children of their own womb enlargers, encourage them not to go for antenatal or scans then tell tthem anytime they feel like going into labor they should come, they put them to sleep, give an episiotomy and then when they wake up they give them a baby from a 'breeder"...this is a business thats thriving now in portharcourt, ogun state and aba....
