    ReplyDelete
  65. percentage is a 100 so, there is no way 52% and 58% can make 100%. It should be either 52% and 48% or 42% and 58%. Someone at CNN sure needs to go back to math 101.

    ReplyDelete
  66. It should either be 52% and 48% or 42% and 58%.

  82. lol! 110%??? CNN are too much in a rush to "break" the News sef!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Linda i saw scotcen instead of scotland

    ReplyDelete
  84. I'm surprised almost everyone commenting thinks CNN made a mistake with the percentages. Firstly Scotcen is short for "Scotland censor' and poll of polls is simply means this is about the most interesting of polls. The percentages are figures gotten from an opinion poll conducted to know how many people wants Scotland independent and those against. It does not really mean the figures must add up to 100% since the poll is between two different thoughts..'yes' and 'no'. All opinions for either yes or no must be computed in % as separate votes. So the entire population is randomly assumed to be 100%, 58% voted yes, while in the same population of 100%, 52% voted no. If option was given for those 'undecided' their figure would have reflected in percentage too. CNN is right..
