VP Namadi Sambo and wife ask for forgiveness as they leave office

Vice-President Namadi Sambo, and wife, Amina Sambo, on Monday urged those they offended to forgive them. The vice-president, who spoke to newsmen shortly after a valedictory meeting with his supporting members of staff at Aguda House, Abuja, said he had forgiven all those he had interracted with in the last five years.

According to him, he has enjoyed good and cordial working relationship with all his supporting members of staff. “Whether in government or outside government, we will continue to contribute towards the development of the country.

And also, we have enjoyed working together and we have become one family with our staff and we assure them that we shall always be there for them. Also, we pray that all those that we have offended during this period, we beg for their forgiveness and we forgive all those that have done anything wrong to us.’’he said Sambo thanked the staff for their support and cooperation and urged them to extend the same to the incoming administration.

In her remarks, the wife of the Vice-President, Hajiya Amina Sambo, said the Sambo’s family would forever remain grateful for the support, encouragement and prayers they enjoyed from the staff. The farewell meeting was attended by all the supporting staff, including Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants to the vice-president and his wife.

  39. He should be asking Nigerians to forgive him, and I wont. He deserves the wrath of Allah for turning a blind eye to the plight of Nigerians and the daylight robbery in government. God gave him and taketh away.. it seems he had forgotten now he remembers

  40. Pls what are they all apologizing for? Are they apologizing for all the money they have stolen, or running the economy to ruins, or they just apologizing for leaving office..? I don't get

  41. You have indeed hurt your staff. Oga, look inwards, one of your special advisers is suffering. He has barely been surviving. Yet, he's a special adviser! Settle him before you leave. You can still make amends. You know who I'm talking about. Your most hardworking and loyal Special Adviser Bashir. He doesn't complain, but he also has responsibilities. Oga Namadi, settle Bashir please. I'm an outsider, but this man is a good man. You can't afford to leave him out in the cold. DGs,ES,MDs etc are being sacked left and right. Please remember Bashir. He's a big asset to Nigeria. A very decent and hardworking man. Oga Namadi, settle him with a parastatal before you go. Even if it's NEMA. At least Sidi has been there for more than I can remember! Haba Oga Namadi. Wetin Barrister Bashir do you sef? At least you know he can't go back to NEPA again! Haba Oga Namadi!
