Senator Ahmed Zanna dies at 59

Senator Khalifa Ahmed Zanna, the Senator-elect for the Borno Central in the just concluded March 28 Presidential and National Assembly elections is dead.

Family sources say he died this morning in his Abuja residence, few days after returning from Germany where he had gone to receive treatment for an undisclosed ailment.

Until his death, Senator Zanna was very vocal on issues about Boko Haram and the plight of the North East. He was aged 59.

He is survived by wife and children. May his soul rest in peace Amen.
