  13. I only have advice as my comment. 1. Sammie, stop trying so hard to be like psquare or Davido, those have a particular message they are preaching with the kind of videos they make, you are supposed to be preaching holiness even with a praise song as nice as this. 2. Must your companions in the song be ladies with skimpy dresses? 3. Must you dance in such a sexually manner all the time? Sammie, stop working so hard to conform to the world!!! It's too obvious, if there's an intended spiritual message in this video ( not the lyrics of the song) then you missed it for me completely, I hope to only focus on the lyrics.

  14. Pastor Paul, I apologize on behalf of sammie for this video does not represent you at all. What happened to the sammie that when he sings ,you will know God has visited his people, all this I must belong is rubbing our gospel artist of the honour they deserve. All I see is in this video are women dancing around looking for who to seduce, NOT ME!! Legggoooo..

  25. Sammy Okposo, hope this one too will be remixed for the PDP in the next election. Your famous "there's no more vacancy in Aso rock" turned out to be a lie as fat as U are. I thought U were a gospel artiste but I was wrong. We know the true gospel artistes (e.g. Panam percy paul). If are God's minister , U wouldn't have cast what belongs to Him to the dogs, but obviously U are not one of His ministers but just one secular musician pretending to be one. U can fool many but not everybody.#signboard.

    1. Very funny comment, there is no money in Gospel music, so why would anyone want to 'pretend ti be one¿

    2. @Anon 10:33, Same reason why seven sons of sceva tried to cast out demons in name of one Jesus whom preached.

    3. Anon 5:23 and I am sure Sammie who you have categorised as a 'false minister' has led more to Christ than you have in your entire life! When Jesus was told that some people were preaching and casting out demons in His name and they were not part of the 'group' of apostles or disciples, and the apostles asked if they should stop them, what did He say?

He said 'Leave them, if they are not against us, then they are for us!' Mark 9:40, Luke 9:50!

Stop trying to be holier than Jesus! You can't be, and who are you to say Panam Percy Paul is the only true gospel artiste?

  26. There's nothing gospel about Sammy Okposo. He's just deceiving himself and those fake christian fans of his. We know true gospel singers and he's not one of them.

    1. @Anon12:21 of course we know ur kind of "christians" . Yopy yopy 'christians' who flow with the tide indeed. Sammy Okposo might receive acolades from U , but if this rendition can't be presented this way in heaven, then be sure it is not acceptable with God. And by the way , in case U don't know most of what is seen today in churches are mere entertainment and people are thrilled with it. Entertainment is not ministration, as entertainment does not lead sinners to genuine repentance which is not the case with ministration. So note the difference. Also, in case U don't know, Sammy Okposo have been seen also performing at night clubs. He knows what he's in pursuit of , which U seem to be oblivious about - MONEY!! By their fruit we shall know them.

    2. Anon 5:24, who told you it cannot be rendered this way in Heaven??? Are you the Christ we have been waiting for? It is TOXIC people like you that chase away the very elect from Christianity! What do you mean by 'yopy yopy christians'? So what Sammy sings in clubs, where should he take the gospel to? The church? The gospel is not meant for the church! It is meant for the streets, the clubs, under the bridge! Light shines brightest in the dark!

What is genuine repentance??? How do you know entertainment cannot lead someone to God? Who has bewitched you??? If God could use a donkey, what makes you think he can't use a song, no matter how funky??? That it doesn't appeal to you, does not mean it doesn't appeal to others! What is entertaining to you, is ministering to someone else!

That is why when a pastor is teaching, one person is gettin a revelation and another is criticising his grammar!

In the end, who are you to judge another man's servant???

  28. Na wa o... You holier than thou Christians have come again.. So sekem and shoki are now sexual dances and wats skimpy about wat they are wearing??? ... 1. @Yinka, if this rendition can not be presented in like manner in heaven, or if it can not lead sinners to genuine repentance, then be sure it's not acceptable with God irrespective of millions of acolades it gets from people calling themselves christians and lacking the fruit thereof. Take it or leave it.

  33. for those of you commenting about who is a true or real gospel artiste i have one question for you "are u God???what makes you think your definition of who a gospel artiste should be is the right one?who told people came into this world to live by your standards???must every gospel artiste be panam percy paul?and those of you without home training that are calling pst paul's name here be careful and lastly pls keep ur political affiliations out of here sammy is an adult and has every right to choose, support and vote for any candidate he so pleases which he has already done in the just concluded elections i heard quite a lot of the jingles sammy did for GEJ and there was no one he used words from praise songs to God to hail GEJ he only adapted melody here and there which is the creative right of any song writer or producer and i heard him sing some original compositions too so you guys need to get your facts straight sammy let talk your music is inspiring and soul lifting pls ignore let them keep and let keep blessing you well done SYP great job i love the song i love the video

    1. @Anon 2:55, God has His standard and will never copy the world. The foundation of God stands sure. If this rendition can't be presented this way in heaven, and if it can not lead sinners unto genuine repentance, then forget it. It is not for God irrespective all ur acolades to the song and singer. Yes, everybody can not be Panam percy paul, and should not be a photocopy of others, but hey! If U truly God has called U to minister and U follow the leading of his spirit, sticking to His standard, the same divine glory that followed Panam and other anointed singers will follow U, and that would make U appear like "the same" . By their fruit we shall know them, the bible says.

    2. Reminding someone of God's standard which is in line with His word for the purpose of correction isn't being judgemental. That's where this generation often get it wrong. As a matter of fact God's word enjoins us to correct one another in love. People often refrain from pointing out Godly correction for the fear of being labelled judgemental. These are two different things. Perversions and decadence are on the rise in christendom today due to lack of Godly correction, and I'm begining to believe the labelling of Godly correction as being judgemental is deliberately orchestrated to shut out Godly correction. At the end everyone shall be judged in line with God's word. we're all answerable to God, and His standard has not changed and will not be changed for any generation.

    3. @Anon, I still do not understand what you mean by 'if it cannot be presented this way' what way is that? We always allow our personal beliefs and likes to color our Christianity!

Kirk Franklin with his hip-hop groove led many to Christ and gave many who were skilled and talented in rap music and other forms of musical expression that are not the same 'worship/praise' style everyone was used to, the confidence to express them selves.

Do you know that Don Moen, Micheal W Smith and Panam Percy Paul's styles of music were rejected initially because they followed the reigning 'soft rock' music of their time! And the 'Church' said godly music doesn't sound like that!

Do you know that R&B came out of the original 'gospel music' sound of black American churches? Through the likes of Ray Charles?

There is no Christian instrumentation, there are only christian lyrics! Don't you know that the African praise rhythms we have listened to all our lives came as an offshoot of our local folk music in Nigeria? The lyrics were changed to express what our beliefs are!

So please stop judging expressions, and if you want to correct in a godly manner, I do not think bashing a 'fellow believer' in public is the solution! The format for godly correction is found in Gal 6:1

"Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted."

      Selah

  34. I have seen the video, truly the song is amazing, God be praised! But sammie, you don't have to follow the trend, you must follow Christ!, any musical video without ladies in skimpy dresses don't sell anymore, but we are not to of the world, Christ made it clear to us, we Christians are trying so hard to be 'equally yoked with unbelievers ' who is converting who now? These iyana and co, we are trying to be like, are doing well converting us to their dance steps etc and they don't even attend our Christian shows, God have mercy! Like I said ,sammie I love your songs no doubt, God's calling is on you, but rid yourself as we all should, of every seductive spirits, and let our focus, our message be Christ centered. The gates of hell shall not prevail!
