Pres. Jonathan, VP Sambo, ministers to travel abroad after May 29

According to a report by Punch, President Jonathan, VP Namadi Sambo and many ministers will travel out of the country shortly after the May 29 inauguration of a new government.

Jonathan is supposedly traveling abroad for what he calls 'a much deserved rest' while Sambo is planning to travel to London on May 31, two days after the inauguration of Buhari to also rest.

Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, will reportedly return to the US while Mrs.Diezani Allison-Madueke, has already travelled out of the country. She left Nigeria for London yesterday but will return next week and will travel out again before the inauguration.

Minister of Health, Dr. Khaliru Alhassan, and Minister of Education, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau are also planning to travel for 'work'.

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Musiliu Obanikoro, plans to travel abroad for a two-week vacation after May 29.

Sources close to the officials say they are traveling for work and deserved rest and not because they are afraid of any probe or witch-hunting, as they have done nothing wrong.

  13. This people won't stop taking Nigerians for a fool abi. When will they learn that we are not bunch of idiots and fools that they see us to be? How many times have politicians in other countries traveled to Nigeria for vacation? If they didn't develop their economy, will it be attractive for them to visit and relax as they propose?...The question then comes to mind that...would they have sought to go abroad to relax if they hadn't won the elections? ... May God punish all these useless greedy politicians who continuously embarrass our intelligence.

Whether they like it or not, if they are guilty, let them run and hide in the mouse hole...They will be dug out, prosecuted and seize all the loots they have amassed.

Useless people, they ruin the economy dry. now they want to go elsewhere and enjoy the embezzlement. May God hunt them down everywhere they go except if they didn't loot the Nigerian treasury.

  31. My dear Linda, I laugh in my 'dialect' as I read this. They should travel to wherever they like. When it is judgement time, they will be shocked at how the International community will cooperate with Nigerian government in ensuring that they return home to Nigeria to give account of their looting. People suffer consequences for their actions in civilized societies. Laws are enforced and there is nothing like 'Oga at the top' mentality. Smiley face :-)
