“Today, we will not say the national prayer. Somebody is celebrating birthday so we will offer special prayers for him. Two very Godly people will pray, Nebo and Yuguda. Do you know the person?” When they could not answer, he said: “On May 6, exactly five years today, I was sworn-in as substantive President.”The surprised cabinet members immediately broke into a round of applause. Jonathan became President on May 6th 2010 following the death of former President Umaru Yar’Adua and his declaration as Acting President through the doctrine of necessity introduced by the National Assembly.

ReplyDeleteOh Yar'Adua,i can't believe it's 5yrs already.
ReplyDeleteI remember the last time I listened to you on May 29th 2008, i had prayed silently that God restore you, but he (God) had better plans for you.
You will always be remembered as the man who had great vision for Nigeria.
A man in whose tenure I didn't hear of tribal or religious differences... to Yar'Adua, what mattered most was "one Nigeria"
Thank you for the peace you restored to the Niger Delta.
you will always live in our hearts.
Adieu Baba

DeleteJonathan is an olodo. How does celebrating your 5th year in office, a birthday celebration. This guy is obviously clueless and very unimaginative. I have always known that his tenure in office would signal end of PDP as a ruling party. Good riddaance to bad rubbish
