Pics: Ex VP, Atiku Abubakar meets with SA President Jacob Zuma

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and outgoing Minister of Agriculture, Akinwunmi Adeshina met with South African President, Jacob Zuma today. According to a statement by the former VP's office, Atiku is in South Africa on the instance of the President-elect, Buhari, to commence lobby for the candidacy of Dr Akinwumi Adesina as President of the African Development Bank (AfDB).


"His Excellency former Vice President Atiku Abubakar met President Zuma in the company of Dr Akinwumi Adesina during which the directive of President-elect General Muhammadu Buhari was conveyed to Zuma,” the statement said. “The issue of South Africa and the Southern African region support for Nigeria’s candidate was exhaustively discussed and well appreciated.” the statement read in part

  24. I hope these people are not going to continue to sell us out o! Zuma and his animals are killing people and destroying properties and this yeye Atiku is rubbing shoulders with them. To me they are enemies until they address the issues of how South Africans treat Nigerians over there. This issue has been going on for the longest time. It needs to be addressed.
