Photos: Man slumps while jogging in Lagos

An unidentified man believed to be in his early 50s slumped while jogging along Stepping Stone bus stop in Satellite town in Lagos this morning. Passersby and residents of the area say they thought he was resting when they saw him lying on the road. The man's son who was going to school found him on the road and quickly alerted other family members who came to take him away. Hope he's fine!

    5. Nigeria, useless country...so they waited for the family to come before he was taken to the hospital, just imagining the time it took the boy to run home then come back with family members, instead of him to be taken to hospital,u will see people around him as if he is sharing money.

  18. We can stare!!!!Thought he was resting? In that akward position? If its to carry out jungle justice, everyone will pick a stone yet no one could lift a finger to nudge him to verify that he's indeed resting.

  24. Nigerians!!! What a shame!!! People clustered around and watch him slowly die? They thought he was sleeping? Really? No one could touch him to find out? And someone took this picture. Just wondering what were they still waiting for when they all couldn't render help? What if his son didn't pass by that route what would these observers have done? Nigeria still has a long way! Joggers too should try and buy a heart rate monitor and wear it while exercising to monitor your heart rate while exercising;know when your body can't sustain it stop!Keeping fit doesn't mean you will jog for 3hrs daily; its about healthy eating, consistency with an exercise routine and being happy...healthy lifestyle it is. I pray he's still okay.

  32. Nigerians act like a nation that is cursed. How can you see a person lying that way and say you thought he was resting in that position. Even if you think so, what is wrong in nudging him a bit to confirm he is fine. Instead, people gather to take pictures to put online and circulate. We should always remember the parable of the good samaritan. May God help us all.

  33. These ppl are just too stupid for words. Who would be resting in that position?
