Photos: Emir of Zazzau and Kaduna Chief Judge stoned at Elrufai's inauguration

The Emir of Zazzau Shehu Idris and the Chief Judge of Kaduna state Teyimma Zaiki were whisked out of the venue of the Kaduna state inauguration after aggrieved youths in the state began to stone them immediately after Governor Nasir El-Rufai finished taking his oath.

According to reports, the youths accused the Emir and the Chief Judge of conniving with the immediate past Governor of the state to plunder the resources meant for the development of the state. The youths also demanded for the Emir's immediate dethronement. The occasion had to be brought to a close as the youths continued to stone some other dignitaries with water sachets and stones.(above is a pic of the Emir being protected by his palace guards when the chaos started)

    1. I am from Kaduna state, I can tell you for a fact that the zazzau emirate has been at the centre of under development and backwardness in Kaduna state. Every governor of Kaduna state has to pay homage to the emirate through contracts, employment slots, allocation of institutions etc or they will make life difficult for him.
Just take a country of the higher institutions in Kaduna state, all located in Zaria to the detriment of the rest of the state.
They employ diabolical means to achieve this.
They think they own Kaduna state, their days are numbered.

    1. Totally agree, this is what people like Abia state governor Orjiuzo kalu, former Enugu state governor Chinmaraoke, former Imo state governor Ohakim and lots of them should face, not them and their children being celebrated while they enjoy our money alone.

    1. Ignorance is not bliss. Think about this whole situation again and meet see if you can figure out who's a disgrace between you and them. People like you simply complain and wine on social media and take no actions what so ever. These youths right or wrong are fighting for their rights, you're here opening and closing your mouth.
What they are doing is unfortunate, but this is what Nigeria needs desperately now!

  33. They probably wanted to teach everyone there that if you mess up they would come after you. And probably want them to stay away from Elrufai....

  34. You reap what you sow:
All traditional leaders are supposed to be, and must be, non-partisan. Allegedly, when the ElRufai Campaign sought to pay a courtesy call on the Emir of Zazzau (Zaria), the Emir declined and sent a message that, 'Fada na da dan takara', which means, 'the Palace already has a candidate', inferring that former Governor, Ramalan Yero, was the chosen one. Oh how the tides have changed, oh how the mighty have fallen....
