Some weeks back, Patoranking posted on Instagram, a picture
of the rapper YCEE with the caption “The greatest respect an artist can pay to
music is to give it life…Nuff thanx @iam_ycee for giving life to rap music. The
world will hear you bro. Welcome on board #NextToBlow #GOE2015 #Whayasay”. Not
much was thought of this post as it is not an uncommon practice for established
artistes to use their social media accounts to help budding artistes promote
their music.
Patoranking last weekend, brought out YCEE in the middle of
his performance at the MTV Shuga concert at Unilag, to join him on stage to
perform #Condo, their collaboration together. This unprecedented move might
allude to a genuine believe in the rapper’s potential.
YCEE who is a student of Unilag, is signed to Tinny
Entertainment. His mainstream debut was back in 2012 on a song titled Smile On Me which
was produced by Jay Sleek. His latest release, Condo
which was produced by E Kelly, is his biggest record yet as both the audio and
video (which was directed by Clarence Peters), has been play-listed by leading
radio and TV stations since its release in May, 2015.
Find below the cut, the official video for Condo along with
that of their performance together at the MTV Shuga show in Unilag.

Ok
ReplyDeleteOkay
ReplyDeleteHeard the song...he's a good rapper but his lyrics are too vulgar. D**k, P***y, Head and Ynash Rhymes in less the 2 minutes into the song but he good though. He won't be everybody's cup of tea or go mainstream if he continues as such.
ReplyDeleteMost naija artistes with vulgar lyrics still go far because they learnt how to conceal it with local slangs which passes the message all the same but keeps us guessing but this guy goes full frontal signature with his D**k, P***y and Head lyrics sha.
MI or Vector could do a whole album without being so vulgar.
His rap is too Americanish, cool flow but a little too gritty and dirty.
My 2 cents.
That's great
ReplyDeleteCongrats To Him
