DeleteAll Nigerians citizens can u imagine the justice Chukwujeku Aneke judge on this case? that is very bad judgment when I mean very bad, the way DSTV is charging DSTV users in Nigeria is too much and that is what DSTV can not do or try in SA where they came from, I believe justice Aneke, has taken bribe from DSTV company yes I believe so. I pray our president elect do something about all this judges in Nigeria, the other day igbinadion son, who stolen 25bn Naira was told to pay 3m out of 25bn he stolen from Edo state. Government, they sentence his aide to 20 years jail.

ReplyDeleteLOL true, what would work is a boycott of DSTV but what is the alternative?!!! HITV and Star Times and DAAR that were supposed to offer stiff opposition have all failed woefully because of mismanagement and a blatant lack of planning and focus!!! If Nigerians can afford to boycott DSTV for a better part of this two months that the EPL would be on break, they will feel the impact.

ReplyDeleteTruth remains that Nigerians could be stupid more often than not...even if there's anonymous decision to boycott DSTV services, you'll still see people subscribing for it as if their life depends on DSTV. I wont be surprised that within the next 6 months another increment will apply and Nigerians will keep watching. #suffering and smiling indeed.

ReplyDeleteThe truth is that DSTV is a private business. You can't really dictate how much they should fix the price of their products because you are not part of their production process. Unless it's a government controlled business with backing Laws such as the oil and backing sector. I think govt only controls what they can show. Unless there is a law to control how much they can charge.
As it is, it is not mandatory that you subscribe with DSTV
I blame Nigerians for failing to raise a competition. Remember how competition gave rise to per second billing, low call tariffs lower sms rates etc
Unless there is serious competition DSTV will continue to milk us. They know that. That is why they quickly floated GoTV to kill the emerging competition.
