Chaos in Ekiti state: Hausas set Ado-Ekiti main market on fire

A portion of Ado Ekiti Main Market was set on fire yesterday by people suspected to be from the Hausa community who have been having issues with some other members of the community. This is reportedly a reprisal attack after the Hausa community was attacked by mask-wearing hoodlums on Wednesday (read here). Many shops were burnt down and millions lost in property and goods.

  21. Dont use your Blog to cause propaganda, or cause unrest between people, you are a biased reporter, you always take side during your reports, how do you know its Hausa that did it, how many are they that they can set a whole main market on fire, are there no police around in the state, i doubt this reportig.its eithe its exaagerated, or its not correct

  34. If you dont know anything about the on going crisis in Ekiti state, please shut your mouth and stop speewing out trash. Ms Linda, this is the summary of the whole cacophony...Some touts robbed and raped the wife of Drivers' association executive member. And it happened around the place where the hausas and fulanis transact their businesses. So, the heaven forsaken idios drivers' union touts came up with a conclusion that the hausas were the group behind the evil. And they started their brutality thereby destroying and vanderlizing the innocent hausas' properties, stole their money, destroyed their markets and abode. The hausas got angry and threw fire to some areas in the market at midnite. So there has not been free movement since then. Infact, 6a.m - 6p.m curfew has been declared since yestarday. So annoying how i was rushing and forgot my phone inside a bus.

  35. They shld send the hausas to the lagoon.... #in oba of lagos voice#
