10 persons remanded over Ejigbo pepper sodomy granted bail

All ten persons who were arrested and remanded in prison in connection with Ejigbo pepper sodomy were granted bail by an Ikeja High court today May 21st. Justice Ipaye of the Ikeja High court granted them bail in the sum of N250,000 each. According to the judge, all ten of them were granted bail on Liberal terms and since they have not yet been proven guilty, they are entitled to bail option.

The 10 persons, nine men and one woman, were arrested and remanded in prison by an Ikeja High court for their involvement in the torture, attempted murder and sodomy of three females accused of stealing pepper at Oba Morufu International Market in Ejigbo area of Lagos State in 2013.
