Radio Talk Show host condemns rape jokes & the women who laugh at them

Apparently, comedian Akpororo made a distasteful joke on stage at the AY Live Show last night about a lady being raped, and some women laughed at it. Turns out it made some people really uncomfortable. This OAP with Nigerian Info FM had something to say about it. More after the cut...

  8. Making a rape joke doesn't even make sense, people have been raped and they know what they went through, this can make the person recall what happened and start feeling bad again, it should be stopped.

  23. This is my first time ever of dropping a comment. I am really concerned about how women pat rapist on d back. Such a comedian should be chased off stage by everyone, men and women alike. Girls who get raped have brothers and fathers. We should jointly condemn wrong doing. Did AY (who i think is an ambassador for peace or did he not get it) have any apologies to render on behalf of his guest. Rape is a horrible crime. Anyone who makes light of it is a likely rapist. I remember Dare begging pardon on international TV for improper comment. We shd demand this from idiots like the comedian.

  36. A rape incidence should never pass as a joke, it is terror enough n can cause a psychological trauma to victims. U can't possibly make light a rape experience n for the women who laughed u might as well laugh at being burnt alive, that's how bad it can be.
