Pres. Jonathan to hand over formally on May 28th and not May 29th

Minister of Information, Patricia Akwashiki says President Jonathan will be officially handing over to Gen Buhari on May 28th and not the accustomed May 29th date. Speaking with newsmen after the Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja today April 15th, the minister said May 29th will be for the inauguration of a new government but that the formal handover will be done at a dinner for Buhari which will be hosted by President Jonathan
"By May 28, the president intends to have the formal handover done at a dinner. You know May 29 is our Democracy Day, we have activities lined up all through that week, showcasing all what we have achieved and all other things we do normally on our Democracy Day except that this year is special with the inauguration of our new president.” she said

    1. I watched the briefing in channels news,Mrs Patricia kept blinking severally and even paused a few times like she was holding back tears.

She just got appointed a week or so before the presidential election so I guess she's not ready to go so soon.

    3. @Elvis you read my mind. Jonathan is a very evil beast. Buhari should better ignore that dinner. The handover has always been done on the 29th despite all activities. Why is he trying to do handover in the night?
A lot of igbo's have been commenting on facebook that Nigerians shouldn't rejoice till after the 29th cos it's not certain Buhari will enter. I guess they have started planning nonsense again.

  23. The problem with Nigeria is tribalism! Everyone votes for the person who is from their part of Nigeria without thinking if the person would work. We Nigerians have to come together and stop tribalism.

  26. Chai dis worrying I hope Buhari has something important to do so that he doesn't go to the dinner. You know patience is a thug. I'm sure Jonathan didn't want to be re elected patience probably forced him. I'm sure he was relieved when Buhari won. Now Jonathan smiles when he was president he always seemed stressed. Askari Dokubo might be there and Buhari won't know when Asari Dokubo attacks him. Asari Dokubo definitely not human what kind of a person doesn't want peace!😡 since Buhari was announced to be the next president they had been no conflict but Asari Dokubo and them militants are trying to encourage conflict. May god help us🙏🏾

  33. I can smell a rat in this strange arrangements. I hope there's no hidden agenda here. I know our President can be trusted, but the desperados he surrounded himself with starting from his official wife up to Fayose, Mimiko, FFK, Gbenga Daniel and so many other Popular men driven by fear of their own shadows and ready to do stupid things to escape their fears at the expense of the nation. To Buhari , I say beware of the ode of May!
