Two young men, Okocha John Ndukwe and Damilola A. put themselves in chains for two hours on 3rd Mainland Bridge, Lagos, this morning to depict the captivity and torture of the missing Chibok girls to commemorate one year since their abduction. More photos after the cut...

Bunch of fools!!!!!

Fizzichilio, well said. Some people can be so insensitive and stupid. You'll wonder if they have functioning brains. This is their own way of showing empathy and solidarity for those girls. If you ain't on the same vibe with them, move on and don't condemn.

ReplyDeleteNigerians actually forget a disaster a few hours after it has happened and dts why a lit of things happen and nobody comes out to say anything. Imagine the comments being posted by fellow youths just because some are brave enough to come out and remember those in distress. I hail naija.
DeleteThey are on weed... Jobless... Blah blah blah.... So sad how we think but the truth is that they are doing the right thing by reminding us that our girls are still in captivity after 365 days and counting.

God bless them for still keeping the awareness, cos the name CHIBOK GIRLS is beginning to diminish like something that is not important.
I can imagine the torture and pains for the past 365days. Kudos to the two.
ReplyDeleteJust to get attention they never got while they were growing up. Foolish boys, your mates are working and progressing and you decide this is the best way to get noticed. Awon ode

ReplyDeleteI commend these guys effort.... Girls must be found. Nigeria mist be better. #bringbackourgirls.
ReplyDeleteReading through people's coment, it's sad how heartless Nigerians are becoming, imagine your own child been held captive for 365 days, how would you feel? If only you know what their parent is going through and truly you have the fear of God at heart, you would do more that what those guys are doing just to re assure the chi ok girls parent that they are not forgotten.

ReplyDeleteAll gud
ReplyDeleteGod bless their efforts. It is right to remind us of our humanity and the trials that come with being Nigerians today. #BringBAckOurGirls
ReplyDeleteThanks to those who made positive comments, let's remember to pray for our countrymen who have been made heartless due to the societal ills. Those who called us attention seekers, we would be glad to seek more attention on ur behalf when such happens to you too. I'm a social artist and you can read more about me on Google. Just check Damilola Apotieri and you would see how I've been seeking attention since age 9. Thanks Linda for projecting our voice. - Damilola and John.
ReplyDeleteNigerians can be silly and senseless. We appreciate you Damilola Apotieri. Thank you for reminding us how these girls wheresoever they are are feeling. Thank you for reminding us of our Sisters. We are all Nigerians. We are meant to live in love, go about our daily activities in peace and unity as well as helping those we claim we love irrespective of their religion or ethnicity. Not turning a blind eye or deaf ears to the cry and plea for our fellow Countrymen, women and in this case, children (the female child). Imagine your kids were abducted, raped, sold, or worse off beheaded! #HaveYouForgottenSoSoon #BringBackOurGirls -Sename
Deletei love you man..continue in your good work..bless your soul...
Deletei really wanna curse those bad mouthers bro
DeleteI really what the chibok girls back but we both know why you're doing this Damilola.... smh at what you'd do for more fame, to think that you'd use the innocent girls as an excuse to extort...I honestly don't wanna think you had bad intents but if you really do as I'm thinking, you should be ashamed of yourself if you still have a conscience - from your friend who knows you and knows what you're capable of.. #What people do for fame
DeleteThey want to be noticed. Possibly begging for money.

ReplyDeleteTz not unemployment or wateva u people call it damilola has achieved more than most of u people comment rubbish...instead of u to lend ur voice nd let's #BRINGBACKOURGIRLS u re talking trash...God bless u dami and john
ReplyDeleteThey are high.....this is madness, dey shud look for other better ways to express their feelings n not constituting public nuisance
ReplyDeleteThe first thing that came to my mind on seeing these two guys is that Yoruba boy and Igbo boy unite to fight for their Hausa sisters. That's what Nigeria should be. I weep for my country. I am really embarrased by the comments I see here. Do you know what it takes to do what they have done. Well God has seen them. Not everything is a joke. If only one of those Chibok girls were your sisters, you wouldnt think these two are seeking for publicity. ThereisGod#
ReplyDeleteThis is commendable and as 4 all d imbeciles condemning u lets pray that their family members be abducted so that they can feel d pain & get d message
ReplyDeleteThose condemning these two guys here are actually the mad ones. If they or any member of their families have been in the circumstances the girls fell into, they would have understood. These two guys are real human beings with human feelings.
ReplyDeleteBut we really want the girls back. Some of you Nigerians are so gullible to a fault. I happen to know the Damilola guy and I know he's after his selfish interest... #What People do for fame
Deletei wonder whyNigeria is just waking up to the uproar that has always been in the north. this bloood shed didnt start today, anyways buhari and APC says they will bring change which is part of eliminating bokoharam. lemme see how far that goes. cos i actually expect nothing or anything tangible from APC or buhari- president elect
ReplyDeletewts all these?....lying down on the road in chains plus d heat frm d sun. mtcheww....dos guys are high
ReplyDeleteNigerians can do rubbish, i swear. take Ur campaign to aappropriate channel. Wel, na joblessness cause this one sha.
ReplyDeletei so much laff when going thru most of these comments, how soon have we forgotten, the two young men are only trying to feel what it means to be captured and tortured... one of them is my friend and well placed both abroad and nigeria, they are activist and not jobless.. i respect what they did today
ReplyDeleteEven if they did it to be noticed, atleast they did something to show they cared about the Chibok girls. What have you done?.. it's very easy to sit back and laugh at other people.
ReplyDelete@Damilola Apotieri and John Ndukwe.. God bless you for using your creativity to celebrate the remembrance of the Chibok girls...
The girls are gone and gone for good. There's no essence doing this.Even the government won't notice you if you died in the process.
ReplyDeleteMay God help bring bk our girls
ReplyDeleteA sincere, humble prayer for the Chibok girls within closed doors is worth more than a million public directed showmanship for their cause. Think about this!
ReplyDeleteAll doz abusing dz young men there is God ooooo if it were ur sisters DAT were kidnapped wat would u hv done? Would u say wat u were saying? There is always reward for the wicked urs is coming
ReplyDeleteFunny to think that I know one of the guys in question and I really doubt if he did it for the girls because he's a wannabe star and a good attention seeker... smh #What people do for fame
ReplyDelete@ochuko arhiakpore, abeg pack well... you just dey talk like a fool
ReplyDeleteNigerians are so heartless, thanks guys .Bring Back Our girls.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why Nigerians are so negatively inclined with their thoughts cos I must say that this performance is a pure display of the pain felt by the Chibok girls, their family and Nigerians as a whole and he did this by bringing into use his knowledge of theatre performance. Am fortunate to know one of the guys Apotieri and to have worked with him on stage to tell that he loves to pull the attention of the audience in the best of his ability and I must say kudos to him. So if we can't understand his performance due to our lack of knowledge or pure envy it's rather sad,but the bottom line still remains he has passed a message of the missing girls out to us,to our govt and we are all saying jointly #bringbackourgirls#
ReplyDeleteReally nice of them....proud of u guys!
ReplyDeleteI pray for their safe return home.
ReplyDelete#BringBackOurGirls#
