This is a lecture hall at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. It's popularly known as MPH. It's overcrowded, people are hanging on window to receive lectures and fans are not working. Some of the students sent the pics in hoping their school will do something about it. Another pic after the cut..

Not like it's free.. lindaobserve
ReplyDeleteIts normal in all Nigerian university
ReplyDeleteI don't think so
DeleteAnd its going to get worst when Buharu takes over, bcos he is an illiterate who knows nothing abt education............soon we would pray for a situation like this and it will never come
DeleteHenry Eze you are a FOOL.
DeleteEiyaa Henry Eze I feel your pain. It's not easy to be abandoned by both parents at a tender age. It makes one uneccessarily bitter
DeleteAnd that Igbo boy that wanted to marry me was in this school. Thank God I didn't marry him cos I doubt his level of intelligence having studied in this kind of environment.
DeleteDat ur prayer will not be answered idiot. Would mr president take over d management of schools? Dat illiterate will rule u and ur father mak u go die
DeleteThis ugly bipolar bigoted transgender called eze pls stfu. U r a big fuuu for Dat ur comment. Word of advise.. . Try to always b objective n use ur gaddem brain. Oh I forgot... U ain't gat no brain. Lmao

Moye says so via BB Passport...Courtesy LIB....
Time to change
ReplyDeleteNaija for life
ReplyDeleteMPH is only used during GS bc it's always a combined lecture. So dis is no news bc I graduated from UNIZIK n dia lecture halls are perfect. MPH means multi purpose hall, n its mainly used for GS or exams dt av to do with 2 or more classes joined togeda. That does not mean dt dose classes doesn't av a separate lecture hall for dia normal daily lectures.
ReplyDeleteDont mind the person dat sent It MPH just for year 2 especially those that hAve combined classes please I love unizik abi unistress
DeleteGod bless u jare....lazy students who literally worked into d class to make noise at d back.....the infrastructure in Unizik is second to none and we even graduated wen d school was nothing to talk about talk more of now...
DeleteLazy ones taking pics jst to tanish d image of my great Almamata...
Abeg any Glo hostel and Mariam Plaza inmates here.?
Dose days
Don't mind them! It's normal nah......combine lecture is always like that......Abeg, they should go n read their books n stop posting, tweeting whn classes are on.....
DeleteI went to awka and all my year one course where mostly between mph and sci village. It was always crowded, in fact this pic isn't crowded! It's scanty compared to when we hv chemistry or bio or maths lecture where all d science students part fron d engine guys would sit or stand or hang by thw Window of this same hall to attend classed! Students always fought for seats and pple like me where always in class b4 6am just to get a gd seat in front. Awka is beautiful u should all visit d nnewi campus where I graduated from. Dat one no even get motor able roads. I am proud of my teachers and d name of my sch and Dats about it. That sch especially nnewi needs real help. Students pay as high as 250k just to get gd accommodation bcos d sch hostels can't take up to one tenth d student population.it sucks
DeleteAnon 5.46...Ur a liar...I graduated from nnewi campus and the highest house rent as of 2014 is 100k...Most hostels pay 60, and the newer ones 80k- 90k .stop lying for the sake of recognition plz..its pathetic. There's absolutely no wher at nnewi campus itself dat has a house rent as much as 120k.
DeleteI wish I could click a like button for your comment. MPH, I knew about it very well though I never used it. Cos I graduated from the faculty of law, where we never left the faculty to receive a GS. Btw, Unizik is one of the best schools in Nig in terms of structure. The constructions are new and morden. I only got to appreciate that school when I went to unilag for my masters. .people should tell every story in full so it makes a complete sense..
DeleteThe sch authorities wouldn't do anything about. They should learn to manage the situation. I was in such situation years back, I coped with d situation bcos I wasn't there to stay forever
ReplyDeleteNa wa ooo... Anyways, now that change is here.,Let's watch and see!
ReplyDeleteMost crowded lecture hall like dis na GS course oh....b4 una go start
ReplyDeleteAnd yet the claimed creating new universities was the solution. Weep for my country.
ReplyDeletePARENTAL ADVISORY!!!
ReplyDelete***explicit content***
Don't worry GMB is coming to fix it for you, greedy Igbo people
I fainted once in dz particular hall.....
ReplyDeleteGovernment school life right there.... And absolutely nothing would be done about it... That's for sure... #okbye

ReplyDeleteOdikwa risky
ReplyDeleteOdikwa way too risky.
DeleteLinda thnks for bringing dis to d public. I once had lectures in such hall in d university - Feg Hall, poorly equipped, it can be likened to an industrial oven while taking lecture in hot afternoon. GREAT GIANTS
ReplyDeleteThis is nothing compared to ceremonial stand in Poly nekede
ReplyDeleteThis is *MINOR*. Come to FUTA. people sit on the floor, stairs and outside. Some duck. The lecturers have no space to move Cause students are on the floor. Any futarian knows what am saying
ReplyDeleteTrue talk though those were in 100 level days.
DeleteDis one dey learn naa.. Come to unilorin and see d meaning of "overcrowded"
ReplyDeleteDey can split d class into groups na so it doesn't ve to be dis full each time
ReplyDeleteMany buildings are almost complete...ones at science village for instance. people just sent this to mock the school, it really ain't this bad. Only crowded during G studies.
ReplyDeleteDis one dey learn naa.. Come to unilorin and c d meaning of "overcrowded"
ReplyDeleteCome to unilorin and c d meaning of overcrowded
ReplyDeleteGlad someone's talking. Thank you linda. SUG presidents are only good for taking dues and bribe
ReplyDeleteCome to unilorin and c d meaning of overcrowded
ReplyDeleteMph...wat a memory of how it used to be then though it is for combined classes like Gs nd for year1 students only.
ReplyDeleteThis hall is not overcrowded one bit come to Lasu nd see wht overcrowded is
ReplyDeletePeople should be contented with what they have, this is one of the price we pay to study in most Nigerian university
DeleteStudents should stop complaining its general problem
DeleteMph...wat a memory of how it used to be then though it is for combined classes like Gs nd for year1 students only.
ReplyDeleteStudents should stop complaining nahh.. I graduated from Unizik, the hall is jst for GS classes that's y it's called MPH.. depts have dia individual lecture halls that are well equipped.. jst do ur thing and graduate jeejee.m

ReplyDeletehad same experience over and over during my days in futo
ReplyDeleteyou all are invited to Christ Embassy Lagos zone 5 TOTAL EXPERIENCE on the 2nd of May 2015 @ the Tafawa Balewa Square. Buses has been made available at every major junction in Lagos. Thanks and avail urself of this great opportunity. Stay blessed
100 level
ReplyDeleteIt is so sad we have accepted this as normal. It isnt. This is happening and some people are there stealing trillions of naira. God knows best
ReplyDeleteI attended Unizik and from my 2nd year to my final year we were only 60 in well ventilated class rooms, environmental science. This pic is a pic of the multipurpose hall were 100level students receive combined lectures for course like GS (General Studies) and CSC (Computer Science), students from different departments usuallly receive these lectures together, hence the supposed crowd.
ReplyDeleteDon't mind idiot students who are in school to flex and nothing more.
DeleteWetin consign me? All I know is that my school UNN is always looking on point.
ReplyDeleteThe word is "concern"
DeleteSo so true....pass tru dat stress wen i was in yr1 unizik
ReplyDeleteAll these people sending pictures of over crowded lecture halls should just pay 300k and go to private schools! Ah! You can't pay 20k and expect Presidential treatment. Millions went through same thing and survive, shut the f up, stick your phone in your pocket and concentrate before you flunk GS 101.
ReplyDeleteSome pple are so used to abnormality. Shows the level of their exposure. Bet they'll feel odd in a sane environment
ReplyDeleteU should check out that of IMSU..... dat is nigerian universities for u
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing odd here.. Come to lautech and see how its done.. Its a story of a phase of life.. Sebi na u wan learn
ReplyDeleteSome people are used to bad things. Maybe we should group them And make them form their own county where nothing would work.
ReplyDeleteIf you think overcrowding is normal, you're abnormal
ReplyDeleteLool! I was here dis morning and nobody sits on d window Anty Linda. Exaggeration much?
ReplyDeleteIts literally like this in all
ReplyDeleteState $ federal Universities
Mostly during GS classes
for year1 and year2 students
So enough of people sharing their crowded classes
Most of us passed through it
I was there like for three university wide course. spent half of my time pinging than listening. trust me hand out and past question did the magis
ReplyDeleteits no news, this is the 1/3 of what you will see in ESUT or IMSU around early 2000's
ReplyDeleteAwww. Not my ex sch.
ReplyDeleteWen I attended d school we had the building called "warehouse" in the temporary site and i refused to attend lectures there. It was a big joke then. As will have it I flunked most of the courses I had in the warehouse . It was essentially a big massive warehouse sectioned into 4 compartments, two big halls and two small lecture rooms. It was always hot, sweaty and mosquito ridden and you couldn't hear wat the lecturers were saying. I remember a particularly kind lecturer always brought his microphone to give lectures with.
ReplyDeleteSeems tings haven't changed much.....
Hopefully their VC reads Linda's blog
ReplyDeleteUnizik! My unizik! Proudly Alumni
ReplyDeleteI am a teacher in a private school in Laos with no International training what so ever. My rooms have been awarded the best classroom 3 times by international observers. My point is that we need to make concerted effort in making our things better. How can we sell any Nigerian University or Education internationally with this depressing outlook.
ReplyDeleteI attended nnamdi azikiwe university, its not as bad as this, this hall is for GS courses and some other general courses. Hail Unizik Citadel of Learning.
ReplyDeleteI attended nnamdi azikiwe university, its not as bad as this, this hall is for GS courses and some other general courses. Hail Unizik Citadel of Learning.
ReplyDeleteOh please the school authority will do any thing it has been like that since so Pple should not start now
ReplyDelete@chidinma grace Is dat y d fans are not working???
ReplyDeleteThese students met UNIZIK well and they are complaining. I recall the days of warehouse nw, when there was real crowd, not now that post UME don seive pple finish
ReplyDeleteu guys are enjoying now. During our days GS classes were held in warehouse@ temp site. things are better now so shut up and adapt. life in school is survival of the fittest. Greatest Zikite!
ReplyDeleteWhy are Nigerians so used to suffer head, that it becomes a norm? Because it is a General or combined course does not mean that the necessary facility should not be put in place to accommodate the crowd conveniently. Lets speak until these issues are addressed, instead of sharing the testimonies of how little the crowd in this hall is compared to the various schools mentioned......
ReplyDeleteUnizik my on point school. Enjoyed my days in school. That hall is for GS courses. Thé school's lecture halls are so on point joor. 1st time to comment on your blog
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed my dats@ unizik. Thé hall is for GS courses and other lecture halls are so on point.
