In terms of lawmakers’ salaries as a ratio of GDP
per capita, the gap is even much wider. While the
salary of a Nigerian lawmaker is 116 times the
country’s GDP per person, that of a British
member of parliament is just 2.7 times.
The average salary of Nigerian worker based on
the national minimum wage is N18,000.00, So,
      the yearly salary is N18,000.00 x 12 =
      N216,000.00 ($1,333.00)
Remember, Yearly Salary of Nigerian Senator =
      $2,183,685.00.
      Proportion: $2,183,685.00/$1,333.00 = 1,638
It will take an average Nigerian worker 1,638
years to earn the yearly salary of a Nigerian
      Senator.

Legislators, both at d state & federal level are d
problem of dis country. They only legislate into
their pocket. Lets unite, mobilize & move against
them beginning with those thieves at the National
Assembly. We the Nigeria youth want the National Assembly Annum to be cut to $70,000.00. Per yearly. Linda please help us to post this msg thank you.

Why call Jonathan now, besides where was he when we needed his assistance with Cobra helicopters to flush Book Haram.
History is being written and people never forget...that's why the Arab world hates America. Americans are a nice people. However, American leaders needs to learn how to be transparent.

    2. Stfu enwe, terrorist my ass, there were many gays and lesbians in Nigeria before Obama became president. Naija needs to be watched in as much as gay and lesbianism are just totally wack, all he said was naija should not pass laws that violate fundermental human rights. I know you are clamouring for United States visa even if it is for a week, nonsense.

  39. These Americans should go and sleep abeg. Nigeria is not a state in America and we are super-power bound and really don't need unnecessary distractions. Great friendship between both countries is very welcome, but everyday "big brother" role is not welcome at all.

    God Bless Nigeria. Amen.
