Nigeria's Ambassador to South Africa says no need for evacuation of Nigerians yet

The Nigerian Ambassador to South Africa, Martin Cobham has ruled out the option of evacuating Nigerians from South Africa for now following strings of Xenophobic attacks.
"I will not want to subscribe to immediate evacuation. We want to look at this thing in three phases - The lower, middle and Higher threat. We can only appeal to our people to abide by the host country's laws, avoid indiscriminate clashes and violence and work with local authorities" he said
He also alleged that pictures and videos circulating the internet about the xenophobic attacks were false and that most of them are from occurrences in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda.

    Even if u can't evacuate them, protect them by using all Diplomatic means necessary including threats in terms of Economic boycott.

    This man must be a bloody liar, i am in the middle of the entire issue i stay in sandton and alex was attacked yesterday, winners chapel didnt hold service today cos of fear of an attack as our new headquarters is in wynberg alex, attacks are at it peaks in all CBD's and locations around i bought a ticket to capetown yesterday. I think he is just afraid he might loose the little rubbish tips, cash and gains he makes from that high commission daily than the lives that will be lost. Whats my business i can take care of myself but i pity for other Nigerians in the low cost ares. He should stop telling nigerians trash.. @phni_
