Maid who kidnapped Orekoya boys has been arrested, family claims they paid a ransom

23 year old Mary Akinloye, the maid who kidnapped the three Orekoya boys has been arrested. Speaking on Channels TV this morning, the Lagos state Police Commissioner, Kayode Aderanti, said she was arrested yesterday night but did not say where she was arrested.

Meanwhile, Senior Apostle Abraham Adekunle, the maternal grandfather of the Orekoya boys, claims a ransom was paid for the release of his grandchildren
"For the eight days that the children were taken away, we did not rest. But yesterday (Monday), they called us and said we should send the money to them. They sent their account number to us. Immediately they collected the money, they called us and said they had dropped the children at Egbeda.” he told Punch

Ransom or no ransome I am just glad the children were found alive, well and unhurt. Because as a mother myself I could not sleep. I can imagine what the mother must have gone through in those 8 days that the children were missing..... Just imagine the 11 months old baby. May god help us in this country.

    4. At Anon 9.25am. Really??? What world did you come from? Reason being that If there is anyone that is weird and crazy, is no other person than the kids mother, her story and yourself. Why do I have the feeling that you must be the kids mother based on your defensive comment., I don't know or pray to know them but they got the public involved in their situation by soliciting for money and should expect the scrutinity that comes with it. However, i noticed you have been defensive since the story broke out and I'm sure you either the kids mother or someone that is a co-conspirator. Next time, if you don't want to be scrutinized by the public, you might let the Police do their job and ask the public for assistance rather than someone that lost her kids going on facebook begging for money. I wouldn't even remember my password under that condition. Throughout the ordeal, we didn't hear from the kids father until today which doesnt help the story too. On that note, now you got the kids back and some money in your account. Now, leave us alone and let us have a breathing space

    5. At anon 9.25am. You got it wrong Homie. The kids mother is the weirdo here. Yes you are right, we don't know them but we know their story which they told us and doesn't make the mother look good. Maybe you need to look at yourself in the mirror before looking at someone else. #CHIKENA
