  36. Yep, some African parents are cool. But this is d typical discription of most Nigerian parents esp. Thank God we are beginning 2 hv very educated parents and it's all beginning 2 change. Tho it's not just African parents tho. Some oyinbo parents are more 'kolo'.

Are u in diaspora or outside Lagos and you want a sincere and reliable person to run an errand for you inside or around Lagos? Then look no further. Add us on BBM and we'd get it done for u.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Indeed some African parents mostly Nigerians r disappoint to their children. Lack of proper home trainings to their children@home breeds a lot of ill vices we see around us.

    ReplyDelete
  45. This is common with most african parents and the most anoying one is when they compare u 2 one of ur frends they know noting about.

  96. African parents are great but not cool Linda.

My father shouts, my mother shouts... but there is a difference, my mother shout because she loves us and want us to grow up and be good to ourselves and others.

But my father shout because he sees others doing so, he blame all the witches in the village, he blame his wife, my dear mother, he blame the children, he blame the government..... Never blame himself, he is GOOD, he is RIGHT.....

Guess what, we all grow up to hate him!!!!!!!!!!!! No, dislike him!!!!!!!!!! Mother does not brought us up to hate, but to dislike what is not good. No, to hate all things that are BAD.

Do you know my father never contribute a single money to the upkeep of the family? He never paid a single tuition fees of the children.

I will be a mother father to my children!

I will love them to death.... This is the kind of love mom have for us her children.

    Will never be like father.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Lol! This guy is talking about my mum oh.

    ReplyDelete
  100. African parents really sucks. You grow up emotionless because they don't listen to your needs.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Hahhahahahhahahahhahahahahahaaa! Yeah right ! African parents can be over bearing at times, but still remain the best! My mum should be awarded "the best mum in the whole world"

    ReplyDelete
  102. LMFAO dis is so true ooooo,my mom is a testimony ooo. Loooool

    ReplyDelete
  103. Lolzzz. I wonder if the women receive awards from shouting. Anyway, it's all part of child rearing

    ReplyDelete
  104. My mum is the best mum though she can be annoying sometimes.
My pa, lol, complaints complaints complaints.
Blame everybody, so tight fisted with money.
Don't want to send my younger ones to school again because of what, he claims he had spent on them before, money that is not up to 100k, and he has money in his account.
Blame everybody to be stubborn but him himself, doctor told him not to drink alcohol and eat meat again but lai lai, he will never change.

    ReplyDelete
  105. This is my house, keep the shout rolling, day and night

    ReplyDelete
  106. some parents are fond of such nasty behavior, well they will grow old n their children will abandon them... ""as u treat your pickin na so your pickin go treat you...""

    ReplyDelete
  107. Things really have to change our moms are fond of this, no body is too big to appologise, sometimes parents fcuk up.. they love shouting...it's too local.. apc look into this, a bill has to be passed for unnecessarily scolding and intimidating children, we have our rights...even the bible approves that

    ReplyDelete
  108. All for our own good. Since modern day moms started imbibing the western ways, things have gone haywire. I prefer the old school method but a tone down, so that I don't end up causing more harm than good.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Yeye boy. U call urself 'coolNerd'. If u r, u shld spend this Easter praising ur parents 4 giving u life & making u do ur home work 2 become a coolnerd. Bush man like u.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Ebuka should not generalise. In any event, most parents shout on kids when speaking gently fails to get them out of being indolent, stubborn or refusing to do their school work etc. If you od not want your parents to shout at you, then do the right thing, all the time and see if there won,t be a change. With regards to sending you on errands, who else do expect them to send.... another person's child???????. Ebuka, when you have your children please do not scream, pat them on the back and tell them well done when they refuse to study, work hard or pick up after themselves after several attempts of speaking gently to them

    ReplyDelete
  111. Daft generalisation. My Mum is over 80 and I can't remember hearing her shout! My Dad is late and he was the best Dad in the world (to me and my siblings). So don't be daft and post such stupid sweeping generalizations. Perhaps you grew up in a bush family that somehow managed to sacrifice enough to send you (ungrateful wretch) abroad, or perhaps you were/are a devil child that required frequent caning before you could learn simple home training. Either way, you reveal yourself to be a perennially daft teen or adult, given what you have posted. Looks like all the shouting and caning were to no avail. Hope they give you more (just for your own sake, I hope up you understand). Twat.
